UT Austin Alternate Entry 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey everyone! I did not see a post for applicants for Ut Austin's Alternate Entry MSN program for 2020, so I started one! I know the application just opened a few days ago but with all everyone balances, I figure why not start now? I am applying for their PMNHP specialty.

Although UT is a really good choice, I’m still waiting to hear back from Boston College and Mgh, my only thing is CNS versus NP, still trying to decide which one to do. Honestly I don’t know if it will be too different

I know there is at least one person who is questioning which school to attend on our Facebook group. It’s my first and only choice personally, it’s the only place I applied.

I also got accepted. I’m still considering. I know I only have two days to accept. Such a hard decision! I just requested to Join the FB group.

Hey guys,

Just writing to let y'all know I'll be declining my spot for Leads today! I originally applied to the PMHNP track and got deferred to Leads back in December. I was super bummed, but I did get accepted to Northeastern University's PMHNP Direct Entry program and will likely be going there instead. While I would love to be in Austin, I don't think going into an intensive program over something I'm much less passionate about would make sense for me. Best of luck to everyone in their future endeavors!!

Thank you for your update! Congrats on getting into a different direct entry program!! Has anyone else that got waitlisted to PMHNP been updated about their application status??

I bet that was such a tough decision and it sounds like you’re following your passion/heart. Congratulations on getting accepted into Northeastern’s direct entry program, that is amazing and a great accomplishment already! ?

I am new to this website, May I know if any of you is on the waitlist for Leads? I am on 12th and don't know when they want to finalize the admission status?

Hi there and welcome! I am on the LeaDS waitlist as well, number 8. Not sure when we will hear any news? Those admitted were given the deadline of February 7th to accept or decline their admittance offer. We might start hearing an update this week, I’m not sure. Good luck!

Thank you for your prompt reply. My husband and I are working in Dallas and all my three children are going to school here. I am hoping to know earlier my status. We need to plan for moving to Austin before.

You’re welcome! I really hope you hear soon, that is such a big move. You probably agree, but my husband and I are ready to get the official news, I feel life planning for 2020 is in limbo right now.
