UT AE-MSN 2018

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello, all!

This might be super early but I wanted to go ahead and start a 2018 thread. :cat:

I'm currently finishing up my last semester for my Bachelors degree in Spanish & Psychology at UT Arlington, I take the GRE on December 22nd. Any other future applicants out there? Or anyone have any advice as far as the application process? Not sure if I'd rather apply for LeaDs or PMHNP yet.

I was waitlisted as well. Still keeping hope alive!

Wait listed for LeaDs also, but already accepted an offer to another school. Congrats to you all!!

Hi just joined.

Waitlisted as of today!! I'm so nervous yet so excited. This program seems amazing

Good luck everyone.

Does anyone know how many people are usually waitlisted and what are our chances as waitlisted students?

Hi,

Do you know if waitlisted individuals stand a chance or how many folks are generally waitlisted?

I just heard back today. I am waitlisted. How many people are usually on the waitlist and how good are our chances?

Hi,

To be honest, I haven't heard anything about how many people are waitlisted or the average number of people accepted from it. In previous years' forums, I've seen some people pulled off the waitlist but it's definitely dependent on your number in it.

I was accepted into the Psych/Mental Health program earlier this week. Good luck everyone!

I got into LEADs but it just doesn't make sense for me. I would love to be at Texas but unfortunately a 3 year MSN program that's not a NP program wasn't what I was looking for. So I'm contemplating saying no, going to try to decide over this weekend -- good luck to those on the waitlist! PS I heard there were only 7 spots for the AE-MSN Psych NP program... which is just insane. I really wish Texas had a bigger direct entry program!

Wow, where did you hear there were only 7 spots?!

Can I ask where you heard there were only 7 spots?

There are typically ~7 students accepted in the AE-MSN PMHNP concentration. There were 7 of us who enrolled in the 2017 AE PMHNP cohort. The number seems small, but there are 7 spots held for RN's who join us in the 2nd year of our PMHNP track. So there are really ~14 students in each PMHNP cohort but only ~7 AE's. I have been told that number changes slightly from year to year.
