UT AE-MSN 2016

Hi all -

Just wondering who else is applying for the AE-MSN program at the University of Texas at Austin. I am applying to the psych NP track and super nervous about it! I know previous applicants did not hear back about interviews until early December and decisions until early February.

Ugh. I don't want to be a guinea pig. Hahaha. This is my third time applying to the FPMHNP track so I'd really rather not have any more curveballs thrown at me. I interview on the 8th, good luck everyone!

Hey y'all. I applied directly to the LeaDS program and received a call on November 23rd to set up an in-person interview. The person interviewing me is the one who called. There was no mention of a writing portion or a multi-part interview, so I wonder if that process is just for those who applied to the Psych NP track.

My interviewer said they would be asking me some "standard questions" and that I would have a chance to ask questions as well. The interview is supposed to last about an hour.

Hi everyone!

I applied last year and was accepted for Leads. I deferred my admission to 2016. I'm very excited/nervous to get started in June! Good luck to everyone!!! Hopefully this thread will pick up as things progress!

Hi B_Black213. Congrats on getting in last year, and good luck this year!

Can I ask why you decided to defer your admission? And when you decided to defer, were you 100% guaranteed to get into the 2016 cohort?

At this point, it seems like we have a lot of questions and no answers yet. Those of you interviewing this week (myself included), I want a play by play update directly afterward :p This thread is starting to hurt my feelings.

I was interviewed today for the Leads program.

It went well and my interviewer was extremely nice (which helped ease my nerves).

She asked standard questions.

slashdot, I was interviewed both times. :) I did get accepted into the TAMHSC second degree bsn program so I have a backup this time. I would still like to do this program however--it's competitive!

Hey Queuetip, either time before were you offered a spot in LeaDs after interviewing for psych? Im trying to figure out how many spots they usually offer people to switch from FMHNP.

Also queuetip, when are you going to decide on the bsn program? I was also accepted to one for the spring, but the program starts before I would even hear back from UT if I was accepted, so I dont know what to do!
