UT AE-MSN 2016

Published

Hi all -

Just wondering who else is applying for the AE-MSN program at the University of Texas at Austin. I am applying to the psych NP track and super nervous about it! I know previous applicants did not hear back about interviews until early December and decisions until early February.

Mine was Leads...

Wow, 2 hours?! What on earth did you guys talk about? lol

My interview lasted about 45-50 minutes.

That's what I was thinking! I guess we just really went into detail about stuff. Who interviewed y'all?

Its either the fact that she liked talking to me, or I wasn't portraying things the way she wanted to. I have no idea!

I just found this thread and I'm so disheartened. I applied for FMHNP and haven't heard anything other than the initial email from Tracey in October that my application was complete...no background check email, not interview request, no offer to switch to LeaDs. I guess I'll hold out hope for maybe a second round of interviews, or start improving myself for 2017. :(

Don't be disheartened! I keep trying to tell myself to remain positive even if I don't get in. This is my first year applying for any nursing school so of course there is always room for improvement.

Well I can't say her name... but she was extremely nice!! She had short brown hair and I had a skype interview with her.

That is so strange, I thought the background check was for everyone? You should email Tracey and ask about any updates on your application.

I was thinking the same about that. Background checks should be for everyone. And ok... We had different ladies interview us.

My LeaDs interview lasted around 45 minutes as well.

Make sure to check your mail for a blue slip indicating that your background check was cleared, I received mine today.

Allisonnf, ask Tracy to check on things for you. You never know but you definitely want to check before they start making decisions!! Good luck to you.

NP interview lasted about an hour and a half, with a former faculty member. Short brown hair lady headed my NP group session though, and I agree she's very nice. Dept head was also there and very nice too. I got great vibes from everybody.

Now to start obsessing over blue slip in the mail...

BTW if anybody has prereqs this semester, transcripts are required by Jan 6th!! Just a reminder, or if you didn't get the email.

Y'all are making me feel silly because I literally don't have a clue how long my interview lasted. It was all kind of a blur to me!

On another note, has anyone else done the fingerprint? I sent Tracy a copy of my receipt but never got confirmation that she received it.
