UT AE-MSN 2016

Hi all -

Just wondering who else is applying for the AE-MSN program at the University of Texas at Austin. I am applying to the psych NP track and super nervous about it! I know previous applicants did not hear back about interviews until early December and decisions until early February.

Sounds like a pretty good reason to me! Taking on double duty with finishing a masters and doing an accelerated RN sounds brutal.

I applied to leads and haven't heard back for an interview. I am getting very disheartened. Any chance anybody knows if they are scheduling interviews based on applicants last names?

Hello everyone! I applied to the traditional MSN PMHNP program and have been lurking on this thread for a little while. There is a bunch of great info here so thanks for sharing your experiences and good luck in the rest of the process :)

FYI, for those of you who got the email about also being considered for LeaDS; the coordinator had this to say "You are correct, you are being considered for the FPMHNP waitlist and acceptance to LeaDs. Decisions will be late Jan. or early Feb."

Unless someone declines their psych NP spot ^^ leads me to believe the alternative option is the only way we're going to UT (those of us who got the email). For those of you who did not get the email... well, you could be IN! Or outright rejected, but I doubt that ;)

Oh, I also got an email to schedule the LeaDS interview (I'm going forward with that). They are aiming to complete those by January 7th. One or two of you have mentioned not hearing back -- I urge you to contact someone so that if a mistake has been made there is still time to correct it.

Hey slashdot, when did you get the email to schedule the interview? I havent gotten one yet but was told we are guaranteed an interview if we switch, so i'm not sure how long to wait before contacting Tracy...

I just got the email today -- I only meant that for those who had not heard anything back or interviewed at all, there is a deadline the SON is shooting for so they may want to inquire quickly.

Did you interview for PMHNP or did you switch to LeaDS prior to that?

Just got my email as well. They didn't give a choice of date/time so they must really be trying to push this along as fast as they can!

I'm REALLY late replying to this, but I deferred my admission because I was pregnant! I had my baby girl last month 😊 Yes, when you defer you are 100% guaranteed to get in the following year. Good luck to you!!

Is it February yet?! By the way, tomorrow is the deadline to submit current transcripts if you were finishing prerequisites.

I'm starting to get really antsy about waiting! I really hope we hear something soon...

Is anyone else finishing pre-requisites in the Spring?
