Usfca university of San Francisco BSN SPRING 2017

Published

Hey everyone!

has anyone else applied for spring 2017 bsn program at USF? I know we'll be getting admission decisions soon!

Why do they make us wait until January to register for classes? All the nursing classes are just about full.... Well the times that I wanted anyway ...

@persuingmydream93 have u decided to attend this program?

yes I made the decision to go there. I haven't made the deposit yet but will do very soon. Did you mail ten a check or we can pay by debit/credit online?

did you recive your financial aid ? Mine says that document missing and have to take it to financial aid office in person.

Also, when do we have to submit our vaccine and back ground cheack reports ?

Everyone is guaranteed a nursing block, so you'll get that for sure. As for what block ~100 of us registered in November so the new transfers will fill in any spaces of people that maybe didn't pass their classes and any new blocks they created for the incoming transfers. There were 10 blocks open for us. Did they create more? My guess is two more since 120 in a nursing cohort seems to be the norm. You will have to pick your NURS 120 and 170 times. Is that what you are worried about?

nurs 120 and 170 are one day classes right? I was looking at 220 221 and 222 and wanted the late morning classes... What are blocks?

I paid online. Haven't received my financial aid but I sent in my missing information yesterday morning via fax so hopefully I'll see it soon. I haven't got any emails from anyone in the nursing dept or school for that matter since I submitted my deposit so I'm in limbo idk what to do now...

I unfotunately received a letter of rejection. Perhaps it is for the best because I really don't have that kind of money and traffic is terrible now adays. Community colleges, here I come!

I sent you a PM. All classes come as a set, or a block, you do not get to pick the individual classes but they will be in a set. Since we filled all blocks (or at least 10 of them) you will likely not get to pick your times. But if they have 2 blocks for incoming transfers you would get to pick between the two. Does that make sense?

120 and 170 are each about 7 class meetings each

Community colleges are great! My friend is going to city college. She's going to graduate before me and with waaaaaayyyyyy less debt!! Good luck!!!

Just an update, I called today to the nursing department to ask when we need to submit our vaccine and background and drug test documents. I was told that all accepted students will get a very detailed email today by 5pm about instructions on the next steps. So check out your email that you provided to the school.

Is anyone planing to live in SF??

I got accepted!!!!! I start clinicals SPRING 2017!!!! So excited!! I am confused, do we need to get CPR certification, immunizations and drug test before 1/2/17? I am 1 of 10 transfer students that got accepted and so incredibly thankful and elated! Is there a USF Nursing 2017 cohort Facebook group?

Congrats to all!! And to those that did not get in, you will get in! Just keep trying!

I keep seeing people have already registered for their "block"? I am coming in as a transfer and don't have an opting to register for classes yet. Whom should I contact with regards to this at USF?
