Usfca university of San Francisco BSN SPRING 2017

Published

Hey everyone!

has anyone else applied for spring 2017 bsn program at USF? I know we'll be getting admission decisions soon!

I called today and asked what the deadline for us was (new student and gave him my ID #) and they said Feb 1st. If u didn't take out any federal loans last semester I can tell u right now that the max amount of subsidized loan can be $5500 and the max unsubsidized loan can be $7000 and then ur USF scholarship and USF grant. If you qualify for max pell grant that's another $3k and if u get cal grant B that's a little over $5k.

Hello,

Just wanted to ask how you got your books down to $350. Did you buy used from amazon or rent?

Thanks

Combo rent and buy. I miss a couple books so now it's about 400

Hey, I got into Block 3 @ Laguna Honda Hospital. Did it cause only have to commute to SF Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

I know this discussion was for USF Spring'17 applicants, I figured some individuals from this chat are currently taking classes so I just had a few questions. I know everyone may have a slightly different schedule, but I am curious about how you all are handling classes. How are the clinicals, in addition to your overall experience of the nursing program? Also, do you think it is realistic to work while in the nursing program? I would appreciate any information as to the program, workload and tips for a future transfer student.

Clinicals were 6 hrs long once a week. I learned a lot from my professor and from the LVN and RNs on our floor in Laguna Honda. I heard some other Clinicals, they didn't get to do much. Overall the experience has been great but I'm still a little scared at the price of the school. As far as working I decided not to for my first semester to see if I could handle to course load. I have other classmates that worked part time. As far as next semester I'm going to try working part time. No real tips, just work hard and don't procrastinate. Every place I've worked for all the nurses say that USF is a great school and the nurses are top notch so that's always a plus! Good luck!
