USF (South Florida) FNP Fall 2021

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone,

I didn't see a thread for this yet so I wanted to start a place for those who have applied the the University of South Florida FNP program starting fall 2021. Previous applicants/accepted students please feel free to comment on the process for you!

thanks!

I just received my offer for admission!! I guess my prayers were answered!! ? ? ? Super excited and honored. For anyone who's been accepted already, what is the timeframe for all the castlebranch tasks? I have a vacation planned from end of April to beginning of may and I have finals for my BSN program coming up before that so I'd like to get it done sooner rather than later. Looking forward to meeting everyone ?

Congrats!! What program are you going to be in?

It is mandatory. They make you upload proof on Castle Branch

It’s not mandatory. You can ask for a waiver in April you can email Your advisor and ask for a waiver. Eventually it will be required but right now it’s not. I don’t want to get it either. It was mentioned in part of our acceptance email. But it also said to wait until April.

We should wait until late Summer for further notice. You can also sign a waiver. I am not getting covid vaccine.

I was confused myself too ?

I interviewed on March 19th and haven’t heard back as readily as others. Out of curiosity does anyone know of someone that has been interviewed and denied admission? While I still feel no news is good news, I am curious. So far it seems that those who had been interviewed in prior terms got waitlisted until further notice. Congratulations to everyone so far!!

Hey y’all ! I got accepted to the DNP-FNP part time program and I’m excited ! I got the email that tells us to register for castle branch but is there a deadline to do the background/drug test ? I purchased it just incase but I’m waiting to hear back from UF and decisions don’t come out till late April they said. Also I know USF is hybrid, I live an hour away, and wanted to know how often will we have to attend campus if anyone knows !

I actually am waiting on UF also! I got into USF DNP-FNP full time. I know my email says to buy the package by 4/2. But I think that’s because that would be a week since they sent me the email including all the info. Did you accept USF and are waiting for UF’s decision?
