  1. Hi all I was wondering if someone could answer this question for me. I've heard CCRN was recommended not required for admission to Barry's CRNA program, but according to their webpage "The CCRN credential serves as evidence of required knowledge and experience, and is required for admission." https://www.barry.edu/anesthesiology/post-baccalaureate-DNP/admissions/ I tried calling them to clarify but couldn't get ahold of anyone. If anyone could clear this up for me that would be great!
  2. Hi everyone. For those of you who’ve been admitted to the program I was wondering if anyone had any idea of how exams would be like? I’m not sure if they covered it during orientation, but I’m starting a new job right around school starting and during the training I won’t have much control over my schedule. Do you know if they’ll be giving us until the end of the day to do an exam or the whole week? In my BSN program we had to take the exams at a designated time to prevent any exchanging of answers so I just want to clarify what the protocol will be.
  3. anyone know of any facebook groups or anything for the MSN FNP track?
  4. My GPA was a 3.8 overall, 3.5 nursing. I didn't submit the GRE and I had 0 nursing experience applying. I did my BSN program directly out of high school and actually graduate in 2 weeks. I applied for part time FNP to make the workload less overwhelming and to be able to work for an extra year during the program.
  5. After my acceptance email I was given like 1-2 weeks to accept the offer and I just received an email yesterday with all the castle branch stuff. They only gave me till next week to buy/create my castle branch account. And then it seems like for the drug test specifically you have 72 hours after your castlebranch account is made to schedule it.
  6. I just received my offer for admission!! I guess my prayers were answered!! ? ? ? Super excited and honored. For anyone who's been accepted already, what is the timeframe for all the castlebranch tasks? I have a vacation planned from end of April to beginning of may and I have finals for my BSN program coming up before that so I'd like to get it done sooner rather than later. Looking forward to meeting everyone ?
  7. Just had my interview Monday for the part time MSN track and it relieved a lot of anxiety. She only asked about 4 questions and were all super easy. She informed me that a committee meets every 3-4 weeks to vote essentially and decide who is accepted based on grades, interview, resume, etc. and I could expect a decision in a month to a month and a half ? I've seen a lot of people receive news sooner so I'm hoping that'll be the case for me. Not like I have to plan where I'm gonna live/work or anything no biggie LOL but we'll see.
  8. So has there been anyone who has interviewed but didn't get accepted? I have mine next week and am super nervous. I know being selected for interview is a good sign, but I'm anxious about not knowing the final decision for up to a month afterward ?
  9. Congrats and good luck!! Are you applying for full time or part time?
  10. I just received an invitation to interview for the FNP track!! Super excited but super nervous. I also had to schedule it a little later because of a schedule conflict so I hope that won't affect anything. If anyone who's interviewed has any broad tips/advice that would be very kind!
  11. Hey all I just finalized my application to the MSN FNP concentration. What are your guys stats like? I have no formal experience so I'm just wondering what I'm up against LOL. My overall GPA is a 3.81 and my nursing GPA is about a 3.6 when recalculated. Good luck to all and congrats if you've already been accepted!
  12. Does anyone have any idea when we'll get the MoA or the drug test instructions?
  13. As a UCF student who got accepted for the main campus program, I disagree with people saying they should give priority to UCF students. Maybe slightly. But when I see people with 3.8's and 4.0's and high TEAS scores getting rejected or waitlisted and I personally know people with 3.6's and 80's on the TEAS that got in, doesn't seem right to me. Hard work is hard work. I think its unfair to punish people who put in just as much simply because they couldn't afford a university right out of high school. But like others are saying, Seminole and Valencia have great programs. You'll graduate maybe a semester or two later but at the end of the day we'll all have the same degree, a BSN from UCF. Don't get discouraged.
  14. I got accepted for Orlando campus! Congrats everyone. My stats were: Overall GPA: 4.0 Science GPA: 4.0 Non-science GPA: 4.0 TEAS: 93.3 I'm surprised seeing some of the stats that were rejected. For those of you with high stats that were waitlisted or rejected, are you UCF students? I have friends with 3.6's and 80-83 on the TEAS that were accepted for Orlando as well.
  15. I'm hoping for tomorrow too. ? Last year's applicants got their decisions in 5 weeks, hoping they don't actually take the full 8 weeks to release them.
