Hello everyone. I was searching for a thread but could not find one so I am starting this discussion topic for USF MSN non nurse spring 2018 applications.
Lets all discuss our stats like GPA, volunteer experience, etc. I have a decent prerequisite GPA right now. I have registered for Micro and psychology and will be taking in fall. My undertgrad GPA is 3.15 in computer applications (not that good). After working in customer service I was no longer interested in computers so decided to change my major.
Lets start this journey together and good luck to everyone.
I'm wondering the same! I actually called admissions to ask when we should expect to hear back and they vaguely responded "8-10 weeks from the deadline." Which means for us OC folks, we won't hear back from them until early-mid November. I hope they don't keep us waiting that long...
How is everyone feeling? I go from feeling confident to doubtful to confident to doubtful as the days pass... it's driving me insane! It's tough to gauge just because USF doesn't use a point system (which I guess I'm thankful for) but at the same time it makes it hard for me to determine how likely my chances are. From past forums, I read students with incredible stats not getting accepted, while other students with "less impressive" GPA's and etc. getting accepted, so I really don't know what to expect here.
All in all, I'm glad they use a holistic approach for the admissions process but I'm just wondering what makes an ideal candidate for USF.

Right!? I try not to think about it yet here I am on this forum pulling my hair out with all the possibilities. My application still says submitted as well. Ughhhh.....
Hey everyone!
Just found this thread. I, too, am waiting to hear back. I was waitlisted the semester before last and have reapplied to Spring 2018. Hopefully we hear something soon! I've been waitlisted for the past 2 semesters at both SMU & USF. I'm just ready to get accepted and start this journey! Fingers crossed for all of us!

Hi PeachesB,
Did you apply for the main campus for the previous times you applied? Also, when you were waitlisted, did you wait it out to the last day they were accepting people on the waitlist? I wanted to ask because someone told me before that they ended up withdrawing from the waitlist because they wanted to reapply for the next semester and the deadline overlaps.

As the deadline for SF and Orange County was different, I was wondering if they announce decisions for both the campuses at the same time?
