USF MSN CNL non nurse spring 2018

Published

Hello everyone. I was searching for a thread but could not find one so I am starting this discussion topic for USF MSN non nurse spring 2018 applications.

Lets all discuss our stats like GPA, volunteer experience, etc. I have a decent prerequisite GPA right now. I have registered for Micro and psychology and will be taking in fall. My undertgrad GPA is 3.15 in computer applications (not that good). After working in customer service I was no longer interested in computers so decided to change my major.

Lets start this journey together and good luck to everyone.

I know I tell the same thing to myself that I should not expect any decision at this point but I still keep on checking, í ½í¸‚.

Just to clarify your friend found out about her waitlist decision last application cycle, right? I know it must be last app but still wanted to confirm.

My status too shows submitted.

She found out for Fall 2016! So a few application cycles prior.

I'm only antsy bc last year's cohort found out around this time but like I said, I guess each application cycle is different.

It makes sense every app cycle to be different as every app pool of applicants is different.

I have micro in progress. I took statistics in my undergrad degree but I am taking it again this semester to boost up my grade. I hope having classes in progress does not affect the decision.

I have a few Bs in my prereqs so that GPA comes out to 3.48. But idk if I even did it right bc their prereqs are so diff (i.e. english and comm???). Who knows lmao.

That is a good GPA. I entered English composition and reading, Critical thinking through literature and interpersonal skills for the English and social/behavioral prerequisites.

I have 4.0 in the prerequisites and 3.15 in undergrad. I am taking Micro and statistics right now. I do not have patient care experience but do have volunteer community service experience.

Nice! I went to undergrad at SFSU and graduated with a 3.7. My degree is in criminal justice and a minor in health ed. I put down my comm and second year English class and then some health education classes bc they were listed under social/behavioral classes lol.

Great stats overall.

Great stats overall.

Thanks, you too! I keep refreshing my email and nothing.

I applied for the Orange County location and ours was due on Sept 15. I also keep checking if the status changed, but mine just says submitted. I hope that we all don't have to wait until the 10 week as a first update on our status!

Hi all,

We are officially halfway through the waiting period. 5 weeks more to go.

I try to keep myself busy so that I don't think too much about it í ½í¹„ lol.
