USF MSN CNL non nurse spring 2018

Published

Hello everyone. I was searching for a thread but could not find one so I am starting this discussion topic for USF MSN non nurse spring 2018 applications.

Lets all discuss our stats like GPA, volunteer experience, etc. I have a decent prerequisite GPA right now. I have registered for Micro and psychology and will be taking in fall. My undertgrad GPA is 3.15 in computer applications (not that good). After working in customer service I was no longer interested in computers so decided to change my major.

Lets start this journey together and good luck to everyone.

December 1st.

Got a status update in my portal -- waitlisted. For all those who were accepted, how long were you guys given to accept/decline your seat?

Thank you for updating us.

Waitlisted as well. Interesting. I was accepted into Emory's program, but was waitlisted for this one. I don't quite understand acceptance decisions.

I was rejected from Davis but accepted to USF. I had stronger LORs and a better Personal Statement for USF though. I think they weighed a lot with USF's decision making process.

I was waitlisted for Emory and just got waitlisted for USF. Keeping my fingers crossed big time for the other programs I applied to! Congrats on Emory!

Yeah that makes sense! Thank you for the explanation.

Ahh welcome to the nerve wrecking feeling of being waitlisted! Here's to another few weeks of waiting to find out our final decision!

Hi trojan10, I was rejected from USF. Can you give any tips on how to improve on Personal Statement and who is best to ask for LORs? My LORs were from a professor that I took anatomy class with this year and a doctor that I worked with for the past year. Congratulations and Thank you.

Hey guys,

so I just had an over the phone interview with one of the faculty members. on my application I indicated that I am bilingual in Spanish and that I am interested in doing clinicals in a bilingual primary care health care setting and I believe this is why I was interviewed. I was not denied or waitlisted, but was given the opportunity to interview and verify that I am bilingual. did anyone else do this as well?

that's interesting! Congrats?

That's awesome! I didn't get that chance. Was the full interview in Spanish? I speak some Spanish but didn't indicate I was bilingual. Maybe I should do that in when I re-apply next round.

What questions do they ask and when are they telling you if you got in?

Good luck to you :)!!

@B101, That's great! I think they will call you for acceptance soon :)
