USF MSN-CNL non-nurse spring 2017

Published

Hey guys! I wanted to start a threat for those of you applying to USF's MSN-CNL program for this spring! Deadline is Sep 1st, still some time to go! Who is out there that is applying?? :)

Welcome @sfchick415 and @RDSoul! Happy to have more joining us as we wait to hear back! Well today is a new day and I continue to be nervous. I am assuming we won't hear back for a few more weeks. What I am wondering is if they will continue to do acceptance calls. In the past they did the calls because it was already so close to the start of the semester and students only had a few weeks to get everything in order to start classes. Now that the deadline was pushed up a month and a half, I am wondering if they will still do the calls even though admitted students would have plenty of time to get things in order to start classes. So many "what if's" in my mind!

@rduong91 ....?

Hello everyone! It's my first time posting here, but I am so glad I found this thread. Wishing everyone the very best and hope we all hear great things very soon!!!

@aftonheistand I think receiving letters instead of calls can be a real possibility, like you said this admission round deadline was really early. Which I think its better. If I were to get accepted, it would give me time to arrange my living situation.

@made90 exactly! I love that they moved up the deadline and it makes way more sense for people to have more time to move and get all the clinical requirements taken care of. I can't remember where you are from, are you far? Awhile back I got a call from a 415 number and of course freaked out, it WAS USF but it was not about the program, they were calling alumni to ask for donations! HA HA HA I guess 200K for tuition wasn't enough already LOL

Welcome @BBPunjabi816! Glad you found us too! Hoping for everyone to hear back soon!! Where are you from?

Im from the Bay Area. Very glad to be joining the group. Nervousness is at an all time high haha.

Oh I bet Your heart jumped for a second there. hahaha

I am from Los Angeles. I know they have the program down here too, but I am set with USF. I want to move up there! Where do you live?

@made90 SF is a great place to be! I live in the east bay! It is a 50 minute drive to SF when not during commuting hours, and about 2.5 during commuting hours:no: So, I just took bart/muni when traveling to school. Have you been able to check out the campus yet in person? I mean, its absolutely beautiful. There is always somewhere pretty to study. I loved USF and it truly is a school with a lot of helpful resources and networking for their students. Not to mention you graduate in the stunning St. Ignatius church located on campus. It was magical!

As far as notifications, now I don't know whether to obsess over checking my phone or mail:laugh:

Hello, all! I have been stalking this thread and others from previous application cycles and thought it was about time I joined the conversation! Like just about everyone else has mentioned, it seems the eighth week is about the time we will really start hearing back. This is my second time applying to this program and the nerves are getting real! Wishing everyone luck in the coming days/weeks! :)

@amuz welcome! So glad lots of new people are joining in! How was your first time applying? Was it for this past summer? Wishing you the best of luck this time around! I agree that it seems as though our best guess is that we will start to hear around 8 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if people continued to hear through week 10, seeing as they do notifications in waves. I think once we hear that the first round of people are accepted things will get super real!!
