USF MSN-CNL non-nurse spring 2017

Hey guys! I wanted to start a threat for those of you applying to USF's MSN-CNL program for this spring! Deadline is Sep 1st, still some time to go! Who is out there that is applying?? :)

Can someone confirm that the accepted student deposits are due on Monday the 14th? Trying to get an idea of when the waitlisters may hear back. Thank you!

@RDsoul trying not to think about it but its too hard not to!!:down: Our letters indicate that they hope to update us by the week of the 14th! EKKKKKKK! It had me thinking though, I am sure they may start calling some of us this week, but as waitlisters accept/decline as well as already admitted students if they back out last minute due to whatever reason, they may keep a running waitlist all the way through mid jan. I am wondering how that will all work out. It would be torture to wait that long, but I am sure they need backup just in case so they can fill all the spots. What do you guys think?

@afton I think that sounds plausible. a friend of mine who began the program back in 2015 said that she wasn't admitted into the program until two weeks before the program stared so I'm sure they do a running waitlist. Depending on how many people rejected the offer though, I also think that some of us on the waitlist will hear back tomorrow.

@RDsoul that would be awesome if some of us hear tomorrow! Lets try to stay calm and positive through this week! Happy to have others going through the same thing to talk with. Where else did you apply/what are your future plans for other programs just in case?

@afton I've only applied to USF -- it's my top program of choice. If I don't get in within the next few cycles I'll apply to Samuel Merritt and the USF-Orange County programs. Until I get in, I'll just continue working to gain more experience.

Sounds like a good plan! I was going to wait but realized when doing my research that their application deadlines for the ABSN summer 2017 start and MSN program fall 2017 start at SMU are Dec 1st. Since being waitlisted I started my applications for those programs and am taking the hesi in a week and a half. I am still hoping to get into USF as it is also my first choice, but will also reapply in summer if I don't make it in this round. Im nervous about tomorrow now!
