Hey guys! I wanted to start a threat for those of you applying to USF's MSN-CNL program for this spring! Deadline is Sep 1st, still some time to go! Who is out there that is applying?? :)
Ya that's just a guess though. It could be less or more! And like MD said, it all depends how many spots open up from people declining their spots. For now, I'm going to move on and start getting ready to apply to a few more programs coming up (Samuel merrit ABSN, SM Entry level MSN, a few ADN programs, maybe SF state)! Of course, if I don't get off the waitlist this round I'll be reapplying in summer at USF as well. What are all you waitlisters back up plans?
Just heard back and I've been waitlisted as well. There seems to be a lot of us. Trying to remain hopeful but it doesn't seem to be too likely that we'll get in. Who knows though! If I don't get in this round I'll definitely be reapplying. Still deciding on which additional schools I'd like to apply to.
I was thinking that too, but then realized only 3 people on this forum got accepted. Usually there are way more. Probably just by random chance of who knows about this site! I'm sure they probably waitlist the same amount of people each semester, a lot just happen to be on this thread! Haha
Whoever has been denied/waitlisted and plans to reapply for summer 2017 if not admitted come join me over at the summer 2017 forum!

I feel for you all on the waitlist, and know it's a difficult position. I just wanted to let you all know that whatever happens, happens for a reason. This may lead you to do more next application cycle or get into a different program that will be a better fit for you. You never know! Don't be discouraged, keep your head up, and keep pursuing your dreams.

Appreciate the kind words. Thank you for sparking a flame of hope in me. And congratulations on getting into the program!
Thank you @aks92 :) I hope to join you in the program but if not, maybe next term! It's a hard position to be in (this was actually my worst nightmare) because it involves more uncertainty, but I'm always having to trust God's perfect plan, whatever it may be.
Everyone on the waitlist just know you aren't alone. It's been very difficult but I'm going through the same thing. For now, stay hopeful but also thankful that this is not the end. This is just the beginning, and you will accomplish your goals if you don't give up. Remember that this is one of the hardest nursing schools in CA to get into(450+ applicants for 30 something spots) and it's VERY subjective for the selection process. The fact that you've been waitlisted is huge, and they want us, they just may not have space for us. I hope this helps some of you.

there is no real way to tell how high your chances are .. it depends how many people decline admission and how they like you after reevaluating your application.
