Hey guys! I wanted to start a threat for those of you applying to USF's MSN-CNL program for this spring! Deadline is Sep 1st, still some time to go! Who is out there that is applying?? :)
I don't know if anyone is interested or not but since I was a student at USF I have access to the course schedule for the spring 2017 classes if any of you admitted/waitlisted people want to know when the classes you will take are offered and the times/days and stuff for the Spring 2017 semester let me know and I can post it in here. Its always good to plan ahead. I was just looking at it for myself in case I get in!
Patho/pharm- Thursday 8-10:45am
Epidemiology- Monday 1-3:45pm
Health assessment- Thursday 12:45-2:25pm
Fundamentals of Nursing- Monday 4:45-6:25pm
CNL role- Monday 11:45am-12:50pm
Clinicals are "TO BE ANNOUNCED" still but I am guessing they will offer them on tuesday/wednesday/or friday. There are 8 slots per clinical group but I am almost positive everyone does their first semester clinicals at Laguna Honda (a skilled nursing facility in SF, learning the basics)
The whole cohort takes each class together, there are 36 spots for all the regular classes and no one has registered yet. For us waitlisters, I can keep on eye out on how many people continue to register which will give us an idea of how full the class actually is.
Hope this helps!
@afton ... i don't think we can even register for classes yet ... none of us have received our financial aid or received instructions on our back ground checks ... i already did most of it though ( cpr class and sent in official transcripts ) .. still need blood work and drug test as well as a few other things which i cannot remember
@aks92 have or were you able to start any of the background check yet?
@md ya I would think registration will start after more requirements are met, but seeing as people get accepted off the waitlist even days before the start of classes it may be useful information for some to see how many people are registered! No problem about posting the classes, glad it helps! Seems like classes/clinical will only be 3 days a week so there will be 2 days for studying. Seems like a pretty good set up! It seems like the trend is usually 1 day at least off during the week for studying. Are any of you guys moving to SF?

Does anyone on the wait list have their application status changed from "to be reviewed after deadline" to something else? My status DID NOT and is still the same, but was just curious.
