I've been looking around for a thread for University of South Florida's nursing program for this upcoming fall and haven't found one, so here's this. :) Has anyone already submitted their application like me? And like other threads, I'm curious about other applicants' GPA's, so if we don't mind sharing them, that would be helpful! My pre-req GPA is currently a 4.0, and whole GPA is a 3.9.
Also, is it true that the nursing program has a "requirement" of how many of each ethnicity they need to accept? I was informed by a student that if you're non-white, you have a better chance of getting in because they need to have diversity...
Community colleges still have great programs! The one near my house (state college of Florida) has one of the best programs and offers rn-bsn right after you get your asn.
Actually, I just checked my soar, and they sent out my decision on there and not through my usf email for some reason í ½í¸•. I have an interview on tues at 3!! Good luck everyone! Is anyone as nervous as I am? lol.
It should show up on SOAR in the application discussion board and they also send an email to the email address you chose when you filled out the application. Make sure to check junk/spam folders because my email was hiding in there. There is a possibility they could be sending them out still.
Just saw your comment that you received it so congrats! I am also super nervous about the interview. I've been looking up practice questions online and there is a lot of advice on google that seems to be super helpful also!
Thank you, congrats to you too!!! I've been practicing a bunch too but the situational questions are the ones I'm most worried about Bc I suck at those lol. When is your interview? Also is there a way to change the email that you've listed on yor application?
I feel ya, I really need to practice the situational questions too. Just need to remember to breathe and take a short moment to think before I give an answer. I scheduled mine for Monday at 3pm. And I do not think you are able to change the email unless you try contacting admissions.
Got email did not get interview GPA 3.75 I may apply again after I get my degree from USF in Health Sciences next year. Congratulations to those of you who got an interview and good luck on the interview.

Jezabella, I got an interview too!!! I also scheduled for Tuesday, March 20 at 1:30 :) Maybe we'll see each other? I'm incredibly nervous, but keep practicing! Congrats to all that got an interview, and I wish the best of luck to those who have to choose an alternate path.
Hey! My GPA was a 3.78 and I only has one B in all the pre-reqs. I found out that I got the interview yesterday and I made mine for Tuesday at 2:30. Did any of you guys get the interview?
