Hi, guys!
I've been looking around for a thread for University of South Florida's nursing program for this upcoming fall and haven't found one, so here's this. :) Has anyone already submitted their application like me? And like other threads, I'm curious about other applicants' GPA's, so if we don't mind sharing them, that would be helpful! My pre-req GPA is currently a 4.0, and whole GPA is a 3.9.
Also, is it true that the nursing program has a "requirement" of how many of each ethnicity they need to accept? I was informed by a student that if you're non-white, you have a better chance of getting in because they need to have diversity...

Yes I applied last week and I'm a transfer student My overall GPA is 3.65 and prerequisite GPA is 3.71. Your GPA is great by the way.
It's nice to meet you, Belfanm2! Keep up with the good prerequisite GPA since that is what they look at first. :)
Thank you and nice to meet you too. Have you considered applying to different schools as a back up plan?
I've only applied to USF and HCC (Hillsborough Community College at Dale Mabry). HCC will be my secondary choice if USF denies me, although I hope to make it in to USF that way I can graduate in 2 years and not 3 with the HCC-USF concurrent nursing program.
You have high chance of getting of accepted.

Hey guys! I've applied too!! Super nervous about the interview though, esp the situational questions í ½í¸¬
Yeah, me too. The other personal questions I can easily answer, but the ethical dilemmas get me pretty nervous. I'm afraid I won't know the answer to some and will sit there awkwardly on the spot...

Don't be too nervous. All of the teachers are really nice. As for the situational questions, just look some up online. Its mostly ethics..don't ever let a patient get less than the treatment they should and don't let someone lie about what they have done in patient care. Im in the program now. good luck!
Danielle, when did you apply for the program?
