  1. Don't be too nervous. All of the teachers are really nice. As for the situational questions, just look some up online. Its mostly ethics..don't ever let a patient get less than the treatment they should and don't let someone lie about what they have done in patient care. Im in the program now. good luck!
  2. Anyone know if we need to pay for a parking permit and which one?
  3. I found it on OASIS under financial aid.
  4. I was only awarded $1,400 in federal loans. I don't know why, but I have no clue how I am going to pay for this now.
  5. I got my acceptance letter today as well.
  6. I had mine today and one questions caught me off guard and I definitely rambled. I think I got the more serious interviewers so I'm not sure how I did. We will know Friday!
  7. What do your grades look like? PA school is probably even more competitive. Many of the programs are strictly off of grades which doesn't really determine if you would succeed as a nurse. These schools have like 15% acceptance rates so its not easy. You should look into an ASN. You can do the night program at SPC in a little under 2 years and then start work. Most hospitals will then pay for you Bachelors which you can do online. That way you can still move out.
  8. I wonder how many actual spots vs. how many people got interviews.
  9. If I don't end up getting into USF, I am applying with SPC. Its competitive, but with your grades I think you would definitely get in. The waiting sucks I know, but there are people who are in there 50's changing careers so its never too late.
  10. Not yet! The wait is killing me
  11. S0 I'm definitely surprised that the actual application was basically just clicking submit. I was expecting to have to send in a resume or personal statement. Most second degree programs at least ask for a resume to see what your work experience is. So kind of nervous now.
  12. Nope, I went to school in South Carolina. I'm super nervous because I just want to get started and not keep waiting.
  13. I'm applying to USF as well. I can't afford to go anywhere out of this area so I am really hoping for USF. My pre req GPA is a 3.9 and my overall undergrad gpa is a 3.66. So we will see!
  14. I am applying to University of South Florida's nursing program and one of the pre reqs is DEP X004 Human Growth & Development course, 3 semester hours. When I look that class up I keep getting Developmental Psychology and Developmental Psychology of the Life Span Classes. I am enrolled in PS276 Developmental Psychology through edukan. This is what the syllabus says: Developmental Psychology is a study of development of the individual from conception to maturity and oldage. Emphasis is given to behavioral, social, emotional, intellectual and linguistic development.Developmental psychology is concerned with the description and explanation of changes in an individual'sbehavior that are a result of maturation and experience. Course Outcomes Assessed In This Course: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the major perspectives and theories in humangrowth and development. Does it seem like this will fill the requirement for human growth and development?
  15. I was considering this school since I want an accelerated program. The place seemed fine when I went, just small. However its extremely expensive and SPC told me to stay away from their and look at USF instead.
