I do not know if this has already been posted, but I was just wondering if anyone on here is a student at the University of South Florida? Nursing or pre-nursing. I am applying for Fall 2006. I just wanted to see how everyone is doing and maybe share some advice..

Sorry I a grad student. However USF has a very good pass rate for boards. They have pretty good clinical areas as well. Compared to local two year programs I would stick with USF.

Good luck

Hey is anyone currently in the second bachelors accellerated program? Do you know how competitive this is? Thanks

I was thinking about applying to USF's accelerated program for January 2009. Just thought I could get some info on their program (clinical, instructors, testing, overall program itself).

Do you think a person with no prior medical experience would excel in this program? Did you have prior experience any any health related field?

Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Specializes in Mother Baby & pre-hospital EMS.

MicRNsomeday,

I had a little bit of experience prior to starting the program. I did some volunteering in various areas of hospitals during high school and college - I really enjoyed it. I saw a lot of the patient's side of things as well, having visited the doctor many times in high school. I think even if you didn't have health care experience, you could still do as well as someone who did have experience.

I am enjoying the program so far, and I am about to finish my 2nd semester. The instructors are excellent here, and I like my clinical site.

Feel free to PM me for more info.
