USF BSN & ABSN Hopefuls Summer 2015

Published

I know I am jumping on this topic early but is anyone else excited about the upcoming ability to apply to USF? Lets get to know each other! Share a little about yourself. We can also talk about the application process, writing sample, gpa, facts/things you have heard, concerns/thoughts, other schools your applying, ect.

Lets get a conversation going! Go bulls!!

I was curious to those who have had their status change did you apply to the upper division or the accelerated? Or does that even matter? Just thinking out loud I guess lol. Good luck to everyone btw!!!

@Mike87

I applied to the accelerated option. Good luck to you!

I applied to both the accelerated and upper-division programs, but so far only my accelerated app has moved to committee status.

That makes sense thank you for replying.

600 applicants for both or just upper? And does anybody know how many they accept for each? Accelerated and upper?

I applied to the upper and my status has now changed to commitee as well! @JMA22 I believe that number is total for both upper/accelerated. My understanding it that the number accepted into each upper/accelerated varies each cycle and isn't neccessarily an even split. If someone has more accurate info please chime in but that's the impression I got from reading past years posts.

I am in the upper division and my status has changed to Committee as of 8:30am

The Nursing admissions told me 600 applicants and 120 are admitted. She didnt specify how many in each. I applied to both programs. Hope this helps. Good luck everyone:snurse::)

I applied for both options, I'm really interested to hear! I have already been accepted at UNF for their traditional program but would take the accelerated option at Usf if I got it. Best of luck to everyone!

did anyone that receive the email about orientation thats in upper division?

Yes I did. It just stated that it was mandatory and the dates. Got it with the other email stating that my status had changed.

So, from the sounds of it... about 20% of applicants are offered a spot? The hard part is the waiting, but I'm sure we'll hear soon!
