USF BSN & ABSN Hopefuls Summer 2015

I know I am jumping on this topic early but is anyone else excited about the upcoming ability to apply to USF? Lets get to know each other! Share a little about yourself. We can also talk about the application process, writing sample, gpa, facts/things you have heard, concerns/thoughts, other schools your applying, ect.

So, from the sounds of it... about 20% of applicants are offered a spot? The hard part is the waiting, but I'm sure we'll hear soon!

Honestly, all public university BSN programs in this state are that competitive. It 's insane!

I applied to the University of Miami's accelerated program for summer and NYU second degree for Fall 2015. Crossing fingers and toes over here. :nailbiting: I'm down here in Miami, FL. Where are you from?

On a side note, did anyone else just receive the email on when we should expect a final acceptance/denial response from SOAR? Also, it gives important information on clinical sites. It's exciting to hear about all the clinical site opportunities available to students in Tampa and surrounding areas.

I live North of you in West Palm! I looked into NYUs program as well but couldn't convince myself to take that much out in loans. I got into UNF for the traditional program for May. If I don't get accelerated for USF, I'm going to UNF :)

Congrats on your acceptance to UNF! You must feel so relieved, lol. I know I would. Life has a funny way of working out at times. At least you have UNF as an option in case things don't pan out for this program. I'm choosing time over money at this point. If there's one thing I've learned in my 27 years, is money will always come and go but time and what you do with it, is key.

Kudos to those feverishly reading all our essays and applications at the CON and with the tough task of choosing from a pool of applicants!

I applied only to USF but accelerated and upper. Anybody else creep on last year's forum? It looks as though they heard as soon as March 15th. Good luck everybody may the low low nursing acceptance odds be in your favor

Hey guys! So I'm applying for the Fall of 2015 and I'm pretty nervous that I might not get in because of my GPA :/ I have a pre-req GPA of 3.55 and an overall of 3.7. What do you think my chances are? :/ And I'm currently a student at FIU >_

I think you have a great shot at getting accepted. You're at FIU, what's stopping you from pursuing nursing there? (If you don't mind me asking)
