USF 2014 applicants?

Published

Just wondering if there are any USF applicants out there? I had a couple questions :)

I don't know for sure. On the top of the page you should see overall GPA (this includes transfer credits)- i think that's the one they take for overall GPA. When you scroll down to the list of pre-reqs. it will give you applied attempts and all attempts GPA for pre-reqs. I'm not sure which one would they take but i would be guessing it's the applied attempts. Perhaps you could email an advisor and ask them.

I did that right after I posted:) I will post whenever I find out in case anyone else is in a similar boat.

Hey Everyone! So, I just wanted to give you all some important information regarding the "mandatory orientation" for all USF applicants. So, the office of admissions specifies that all admits to USF must attend an orientation to register for classes, etc... I contacted CON and asked if we needed to attend USF's orientation regardless if we get into CON. I was directed to the Office of Orientations/Student Affairs. This office told me that we must attend an orientation if we are not admitted to CON to keep our application on file for subsequent semesters. So let us just say that perhaps some of us had to re-apply for the FALL 14 term for CON, we would have to go to USF's orientation in order to stay in the system. However, if we are admitted to the SUMM 14 term to CON, then we have our own orientation through CON, and I believe we would not have to do USF's regular orientation if admitted. The orientation office said they if admitted to SUMM 14 they can reimburse those who registered for Orientation in MAY for USF (Since summer classes start the 12, this orientation is May 8), if CON does not require the Regular Orientation. I would just say sign up just in case, because either way it works for the benefit of making sure your app stays on file, and safeguarding everything.

Just curious- is anyone applying to UCF accelerated also? If so what is your preference?

Hey guys, I too have submitted an application to the upper division nursing program. I have been following this thread for a while just want to say hi. My overall GPA is 3.88 and prereq 3.81. I think my essay pretty good but the competition is tight, I hope we all get in.

Has anyone else's status changed as of today?

Mine changed to "committee" last week. Not sure if that's what your referring to?

I submitted my app on Feb 27, so maybe mine just hasn't been reviewed as of yet. Crazy that we all will find out here in the next 2-3 weeks! The anticipation is killing me, seriously.

My application to accelerated shows as committee. However, my upper division application (which i submitted a couple of days later) is still showing as applied. I've also looked at last years forums and seems like some of them received replies 2 weeks after the deadline... but others 4 weeks. And it seems it's always Friday afternoon for some reason. Anyway, good luck to everyone.

I'm so excited/nervous as well! I keep checking my soar application just to see if they made any updates. I totally lack patience for stuff like this haha.

Does anyone know what additional education requirements are needed for RN -BSN? The site says ENG1 and ENG2 and then says any additional state university requirements. . I will be getting my RN at HCC and then would like to transfer. I have wrote the email associated with the nursing program many times, and they keep sending me the same thing over and over, but has not specified what the additional requirements are. I would like to take the extra classes needed at HCC so its cheaper. So does anyone know or has anyone past through the same road im on now?

Does anyone know if College of Nursing is open/ operating this week or are they on spring break also? My application is stuck on "applied" so I just wonder if there's any hope it will be updated this week.
