USF Accelerated Nursing Fall 2014

Published

Hey everybody,

My name is Laura I just recently got accepted to the FSU Accelerated Nursing Program; however, I am applying to the USF Accelerated Nursing Program for Fall 2014. I am just looking at my options since USF is a little closer to my family in South FL and (most importantly) I heard the program is great!

I want to know if anybody is applying for the USF Accelerated Nursing program for Fall 2014. I am currently finishing up my application essay. Any advice from USF nursing students in the USF accelerated program?

I am looking forward to hearing from all of you!

Laura

wow that really sucks and doesn't make any since to make you go that far when there is one 1mile away!!!! thank you for replying!!

I have been moved to "committee". Has anyone else other than xxdumaxx? I just went and looked at some possible apartments so now its just time to wait and see if I get in!

Hey guys! I'm new to this thread, but I also received a notification that my status has been changed to "committee." Such a relief that we passed the first round at least!

My application was moved from 'applied' to 'committee' today too. I'm not that hopeful about getting in. My GPA is not nearly as good as other applicants. But like sannabell said, it's nice to make it past the first round.

my gpa is not high either, but its not bad. But its not all about the GPA as long as you have 3.0 you have a chance.

Well fingers crossed for both of us :)

My status changed from "applied" to "committee" as well. Good luck to everyone!! :specs:

Yea, I attended an info session at USF about their nursing program a few months ago, and the advisor told us that about 60% of their decision is on the applicant's GPA and 40% is on their personal statement...which is pretty high compared to other programs. So don't be discouraged!

Yeah, I've heard all sorts of things about how they decide. There seems to be a lot of differing opinions about it. Flipping through some older threads I've seen people with 4.0s get rejected and people with 3.5s get accepted in the same admission period. So I don't know what to expect.

For those who changed to committee today, When did you guys submit your application?

I submitted my app May 18
