Hey!!! i am going to LA in a week to interview for the new grad residency program. Has anyone already interviewed, or know anything about their residency program, esp for the cardiac telemetry position? Do you know what it's like for new nurses to work there and any advice would be helpful.
Congrats Tristar! What position were you offered?

After I got the phone call I was in such complete shock, but one of my first thoughts was of this thread and of wanting to get out the word to you all. I don't know about you but I've been pretty crazed since this past Friday, constantly checking my email waiting for word from anyone.
This has been one of the hardest struggles I have been in since starting this journey. Having this thread, this website has been a tremendous help. Thank you so much for the support, wisdom and kind words.
Many blessings in the new year.

First of all.... CONGRATULATIONS, that's wonderful!! ......I've been crazed myself... no phone call or e-mail yet. One more day of phone calls....hope I get one. The wait is killing me
I agree that this website has been a big help in many ways!!!

I too have been a crazy girl as of Friday! Today I ate a whole bag of Funnions (which I have not had since high school)!!
I find it unprofessional that HR even didn't bother to email applicants to let them know whether they were chosen or not, especially after the interviewers stated so; a simple generic email would suffice. Anyway, again congrats for the selected ones and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! Keep applying!
I too was offered a position....I am so relieved...I have been looking since I graduated in MAY...so relieved...I have been through so much in my journey to become an RN....good luck to you all that got letters and those that keep searching...I found indeed.com to be most helpful...I set it to rn new grad and it usually has a couple options when I searched...and I stayed in constant contact with former classmates...
Wow....I have to say the USC UH New Grad (Versant) RN residency program is among the best! I used to work there as one of the educators and....one of my favorite moments working there at USC was with the RN residents! Perhaps I'm biased...but I have to say it is a highly comprenhensive, thorough, and a well-prepared nursing residency program! I remember receiving a ton of applicants for our program! Good luck for those of you interviewing! This place is what I consider home...and I think one of the best places to work at. The staff there are awesome! :nurse:I will say...it is highly competitive!
