Hey!!! i am going to LA in a week to interview for the new grad residency program. Has anyone already interviewed, or know anything about their residency program, esp for the cardiac telemetry position? Do you know what it's like for new nurses to work there and any advice would be helpful.

Hey there! Do you guys know the website with info on the new grad program? Also, does anyone know which units they hire new grads for and possible starting salaries? I'm graduating in December and I'm trying to get a head start on where I want to apply and stuff. Thanks!!

do hospitals pay for RNs under new grad program? how much
I just googled the USC versant program, and i had to call them to figure out when the application process was starting, so my best bet is to call them. They are just hiring a new bunch for August, so i would probably call in October or later to find out about the new grad program.

30-31/HR.hehe
The starting pay I was offered is 29/hr - Which I accepted - hopefully I will get OT - To answer about the "unoffical offer". I got a call saying I would be getting an offer letter. I rec. the offer letter and accepted it. To find out when they accept applications for the next new grad program you need to call hospital and ask for nurse recruitment. They will tell you when the new application would be posted, also ask about their "New Grad Brunch"

Hi, I've got an interview with USC next month. Do you have any tips on how I can prepare for the panel?
How is your residency going? Are you at USC- University hospital?
Thanks.

Hi Tristar! I just received a call today for an interview next month as well. When did they ask you to come in? Mine is on December 7.

Okay I have to ask because the wait is killing me.
Those of you who have received calls for interviews (Tristar, Nurse2bee14, and anyone else reading this that hasn't replied to this thread but has received a phone call).. Do you have your RN licenses already? Are you an ADN grad? A BSN grad?
I'm only asking cuz I'm graduating from my ADN program in Dec. and I applied and haven't heard anything back and I don't know if I will. I don't know why I'm stressing over it but I just want to know if they're showing a preference for those with licenses already or BSNs over ADNs, etc.
I'm kinda going crazy here. Any response would be great so that I can go back to my preceptorship and studying for NCLEX. Oh and preparing for graduation.
Mine is Dec 1.
I heard it is panel interview which makes me nervous so I'm trying to go over all the interview questions I can.
