Hey!!! i am going to LA in a week to interview for the new grad residency program. Has anyone already interviewed, or know anything about their residency program, esp for the cardiac telemetry position? Do you know what it's like for new nurses to work there and any advice would be helpful.
Okay I have to ask because the wait is killing me.Those of you who have received calls for interviews (Tristar, Nurse2bee14, and anyone else reading this that hasn't replied to this thread but has received a phone call).. Do you have your RN licenses already? Are you an ADN grad? A BSN grad?
I'm only asking cuz I'm graduating from my ADN program in Dec. and I applied and haven't heard anything back and I don't know if I will. I don't know why I'm stressing over it but I just want to know if they're showing a preference for those with licenses already or BSNs over ADNs, etc.
I'm kinda going crazy here. Any response would be great so that I can go back to my preceptorship and studying for NCLEX. Oh and preparing for graduation.
hey janbug, hang in there! i remember seeing the timeline for this process indicating that they will be calling for interviews until december 15. let's hope for some good news soon :)
Hi Everyone,
I am graduating this upcoming May 2010 (woohoo) and I would really like to apply for the USC Norris Cancer Center Versant program. From researching on Google I found out that there is an application deadline on April 24th, but does that go for me since I wont have my license till after May. Is there a separate website for Norris Cancer Center or do I go through USC hospital as well? I am trying to start ahead before I get too busy that I end up missing deadlines so sorry for all the questions. Another question I have is what is the "Brunch" and how do you get invited or pay to go ? Any info will help. Thanks

I'm an ADN grad with an RN license. I graduated in July and have been applying everywhere. Hang in there.
I'm a little confused... Some people have already scheduled an interview for the Versant program starting in March???, while others are being invited to the brunch and hospital tour as a first step this week? Is the brunch a second phase selection I wonder?
My understanding is - those that they are considering for the interview process are invited to the brunch/tour.
I was wondering what units are interviewing in December? I already have one next week :/ (Tele). Have my ADN and license.
Looking forward to the brunch tomorrow. I am sure most of our questions will be answered there.

I'm an ADN grad and have my license.
I was wondering too what their preferences were. I think it may be grades.
