Am starting this thread to see how many of us are applying to the USA DNP program in fall 2015. I will be graduating from Georgetown University in August and plan to proceed to DNP right away. My FNP program is very well organized and am very well prepared to be an FNP. I already have a couple of job offers, and I credit my program for the offers. I would have loved to go to another top tier school for my DNP but the the student loans are humongous and as I mentioned earlier, I feel well prepared for the workforce. USA is almost free for me considering the 10s of thousands that I pay at GU. I still highly recommend the GU program. Back to USA DNP, who is applying? Am sending out my application this week. For anyone looking into it, the deadline for fall 2015 is feb 15th.
Well, when I sent an email to the college of nursing(CON) in January I was told decision letters will be mailed to applicants on May 1. Also just heard back from CON that admitted applicants need to turn in their acceptance packages(immunization records, physical exam, proof of health insurance etc) by June 12. Now old posts say that in the past it took the CON longer because there were a lot of applicants. Hope this helps.
Well am guessing everyone got the same email that about 500 applications were received for the DNP program. Next step is reviewing of these applications & we should know around May 1st if we got accepted or not. Anyone who received something different should please feel free to share. For me, I think am just going to go bury my head somewhere in sand before the suspense gets to me any more than it is! Lol!!

Hi everyone,
I got an email last night that my primary application got verified by NursingCAS. My GPA was calculated too. It took around a month for everything to go through:transcripts & all. Nicurn133, I also applied to Idaho State University too just in case I don't get in. Bear in mind that NursingCAS may calculate your overall GPA lower than what other schools do. I read old posts from those who applied to USA last year that they experienced that so that prepared me for that. If you get a chance to check NursingCAS' website, it states that they will be working extra time on applications. Once again, good luck everyone!
