Greetings allnurses!
I am living in Atlantic City NJ as a permanent resident and I have aspirations of being a nurse here in the US as well. I came from the philippines about a month ago and I've been contemplating on reviewing for the NCLEX exam and decided to start here to get the information that I need. I wanted to ask what are the usual requirements for a foreign nurse? I'm also a registered nurse in the Philippines. TIA allnurses God Bless

You have to submit an application/licensure to the state Board of Nursing (BON) in the state where you wish to be licensed. They will tell you the eligibility requirements. The BON will probably require that you have your coursework evaluated by an agency such as CGFNS. Good luck! Many nurses have done this successfully.

Welcome to Allnurses!
There are no "US" requirements -- each US state sets its own standards and requirements. You will need to be licensed in any state you want to work in. You should check the Board of Nursing website for that state, and the website will have information and application forms for applying for licensure as an internationally educated nurse. There is a link at the bottom of each page here to a list of links to all the US state BON websites.
Best wishes!
