Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get your ATT once your school sends in their paperwork to the state? I've already sent in my paperwork, GN permit papers and have paid PearsonVue for the exam. Just waiting on the Education Department!!
Once you get the ATT, does anyone know how long does it take to get a test date in the Albany test center?
I just want to take this test & get it over with
Thanks in advance!

It took my school (TX) 1 week after graduation to send in my affidavit of graduation to the BNE. Then it took another week before I recieved my GN.
My ATT took a few days. Not long at all. I'd say the whole process to recieve my ATT and GN after graduation took about 2 weeks and a few days.
If you're really anxious and have questions don't hesitate to call your state board. I called mine once and they were very helpful. Quick service, no automated machines, etc. They really are there to answer questions and to help you along.

I got my ATT last Thursday via email. I then went to the Pearsonvue website and set my test date for this Friday June 1st. It was pretty fast. Hope that helps.

Just wondering how the test went today...How hard was it...I just graduated in May 07 and am awating my att...Tina
Thanks for your concern! The questions were elementary at first, but they got really tough. They started throwing disease states and medications at me that I have never even heard of before. When I got to question 75 and clicked the "next" button, the screen didn't go blank so I started to panic. I laid back in the chair, took a deep breath, and told myself to calm down. I finished question #76, then #77, and the screen went gray. So I was 2 questions away from where I wanted to be. My nurse manager called me today to tell me what my schedule was going to be like and I told him that I had literally, "Just taken the boards." He asked me how many questions I completed, and when I said "77", he said either I did really great or really horrible. I laughed, but I can't help but wonder? Pearson Vue does the "Quick Results" in NY, but my "Quick Results" aren't available yet because I just took my boards today. So here I sit, with my beer, LOL. I'll keep my fingers crossed til Sunday!

Julia Rocks,
Good luck to you! I hope you do/did well. I take the NCLEX June 19. I am not one to panic/stress, but I feel a little tense!

Thanks. My results should be available tomorrow (I'm guessing) because it says you can do Quick Results after 48 hours. I wasn't nervous until I actually sat down at the computer. But once I got "in the zone" it was like any other test. I wasn't focused on anything but the screen, everything else was drowned out. Then, like I mentioned before, question 75 passed, the computer didn't go off, so I started getting nervous again. I guess my best advice would be to try not to look at what number you are on because it can really damage your focus. Get "in the zone", take it one question at a time, and if you start to panic, practice deep breathing or take a break to get a drink of water. Good luck, I wish you the best.
