2019 UPENN BSN/MSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone! I started this thread for this years application cycle.

Hey guys! I already have my BSN and applied to the FNP MSN program from fall 2019. When I look at my application status it still says submitted, is anyone else in the same boat? I emailed them and they said they should have all decisions out by mid April but im getting a bit worried. Thanks for responding!!

I just received an email from Filomena asking if I wanted to remain on the waitlist (I sent my waitlist confirmation form to the admissions email back in early Feb).

Anyone else on the waitlist get this email?

Has anyone from the BSN waitlist heard anything from Filomena? I don't want to bother them so soon but I am curious if they are even taking anyone from the waitlist....

I haven't heard anything. They also aren't answering their phones, and didn't respond to an email I sent them. Kinda rude, IMO.

(FYI, I'm on the waitlist for BSN/MSN FNP.)

Thanks for responding it is nice to know I'm not the only one. I also called a couple weeks ago, it is pretty disappointing to not hear anything at all.

I got off the waitlist two weeks ago for BSN/MSN women's health.

I'm not sure if it helped, but I sent them a letter of continued interest ~2 weeks before I heard back about my acceptance. Might be worth a shot!

Thanks, gNP2019! I also sent them a letter of continued interest, but never heard a response from them.

And congratulations!

Hello,

I’m sorry about your experience with UPenn, but that’s not my case. I applied and I got a very quick response from them. Good luck and I hope everything works out.

Hello. I'm currently in the application process for fall 2019 ACPNP MSN program. I have a video interview this week. Anyone else in the same position? I just finished/submitted my application a week or two ago so I was nervous that I was already behind the ball.

Hi all,

I just got in off the waitlist (for BSN-MSN FNP).

I currently have to decide between Penn and another school and would love to have more information. Is there anyone who went to the admitted students day who might be willing to answer some questions I have about your experience?

Thanks!

Hi everyone. I just had a question about the course equivalence and tried to reach the admission office. However, I had been calling them for two weeks, almost everyday, and sent an email like a week ago but never received a response, which makes me pretty disappointed. I'm wondering are there any other ways that I can communicate with the admission office or at least get my phone call answered?

For those who already enrolled in this program, I am curious that is the program organized? or could students get enough help or attention from the faculty when they needed? My experience with the admission office frustrates me a lot and now I'm hesitate about should I apply to this program.... Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Your experience is pretty typical. Now that I’m here, I’ve found that I have to go to administrators’ offices to get a response to anything. It’s... pretty annoying, considering the amount of money we’re paying for this program.
