2018 UPenn BSN/MSN

Published

Greetings fellow 2018 UPenn BSN/MSN applicants! Just thought I could start a thread for the incoming applicants so we can help each other out through the application process.

Does anyone know if we need to submit separate transcripts for study abroad programs if it's already clearly stated on our official undergraduate transcript? Thanks! : )

Hey Vfalks! I'm applying to Nurse-Midwifery! That is a bummer we won't get to meet you. How did the interview go? Did you do a phone interview?

Specializes in Midwife, OBGYN.

FC just sent out an e-mail about financial aid and the paperwork that we need to submit to be considered for aid. Check you e-mail inbox if you haven't already. It looks like the soft deadline is Dec. 15th while the hard deadline is Jan 5th if we want to receive the breakdown of our financial aid within 1 week of being told we are admitted.

I got a phone interview date and time for AGPCNP. For those of you still waiting to hear back, I think they are coming soon.

Best of luck!

Sorry if this has already been asked. Anyone have any insights as to the % accepted past the interview round? And / or, how many make it to the interview round to begin with? Thanks :)

I interviewed in person back in October. After they pushed the application deadline to December they offered to let me solo interview. Which I don't know if that's a good or bad thing since it's so far away from when they make their decision. The interview went really well but they said there's a limited number of positions available and it's going to be really competitive.

Hello. Question about UPenn's dates of study...

It is my understanding from various pieces of info on the program site that we would start in June 2018. The BSN portion would take 18 months; the MSN portion would take 14 months or longer. I am applying for the BSN/MSN PMHNP program and trying to gauge when I would be finished with the program in making my decision compared to other programs. Any insight from other applicants or current students?

Also, any info on whether UPenn offers students any $ to offset tuition costs? I know Vanderbilt does. Case Western provides some $ at times too.

Thanks for any help and good luck to all.

Any thoughts on this posting? I'm curious as well.

For those who were to interview on Monday, Dec. 11, and received an email from Filomena about not having received the details from the program people, have you heard anything else? Just wondering when the new interview date will be, as folks will be traveling soon.

Penn rarely offers any grants. You mostly get loans. The max grants they've given was 8k.

I know...I am unsure how to pm on this site? It seems to be still stuck in 2005.

Anyway my interview is at 11am 😬, I am probably arriving at 10! Luckily I live in NYC but my parents are in NJ so I can drive in mornin of!!!

Do you mean that you are yet to be informed regarding the timing for interview on 11Dec?

How was the interview? Any insights in topics or questions asked?

Good luck to all who had/have interviews today! Please let us know how they go!
