Small town America...the Pharm tech, whom I talk to and joke with everytime I see her, was looking right at me and no clue...lol, I was wearing sweats, a hoodie, beanie (just feeling under the weather and lazy)...it's kinda fun to change my voice and cadence when I see these folks and mess with them, the look on their face when they realize it's me is priceless.
haha nice it's like we have a true identity hidden just like superheroes hehe
This actually happened to me at the mall last week! I was dressed in casual clothes and had my kids along. I recognized a nurse I work with and said Hi a couple times before she saw me and then I saw she recognized me and was surprised to see me in public. Kinda like when you were a kid and saw your teacher at the grocery store.
This happens all the time. I have a certain pair of glasses I only wear to work. My hair is usually pulled back and I don't wear any makeup. On my off days I'm usually dressed up. I wear dresses, skirts, jewelry, makeup. I'll never forget, I went in to a meeting once and had my badge on. Two of my coworkers stopped me at the entryway and said this is a private meeting for staff only. I had on my other glasses, a dress, makeup, the works. I had to laugh because it took them forever to see that it was me. Even when looking at my badge, they still didn't realize it was me. And I have a very distinct voice and they still didn't put 2 and 2 together.

This nurse 'friend' that I've known for 11 years came to my wedding and sat on the front row! Afterwards immediately before the reception, she came up to me and started talking. We stood there for, I know, at least 30 minutes talking. All the while I was wondering how in the world does she know this stuff about me. Then she finally said something about HERSELF. WOW!!!!! I was like,**************????? Is that you!!!!!! You know, sometimes scrubs are given a bad rap!

I have heard of this but I've never seen it. Any place I have ever been you wear what you want.I would hate being told what to wear.
