I am applying for the summer 2015 nursing program and I wanted to create a thread so anyone else that is stressing can vent here :)
Hi guys. Sorry to interrupt I know you are all very excited about possibly being accepted to the nursing program. But I have a few questions and I am wondering if you can help me since I finally found a thread about the Unlv nursing program that is current. I am currently a student at Unlv and I was attending classes for hospitality which as I'm sure you know has a very low gpa requirement. However I have always wanted to do nursing I just always had fear of getting into the program. I have only failed one class since attending Unlv but there are a few I would be willing to retake to raise my gpa. I am willing to retake as many classes as possible to raise my gpa for the program. I would be looking at applying next spring. (2016) my main question is do they hold it against you if you retake classes for a higher gpa? Or does this not matter. I wish I would've gotten better grades in the beginning but unfortunately I did not. But I am willing to retake and get much better grades now thst I have chosen a field I'm passionate about. All honest opinions are appreciated! Good luck to all of you and I hope you guys get in and make wonderful nurses!

HA! I better change my username then. Don't want future employers scoping me out on allnurses
My CPR class is tomorrow morning. I haven't scheduled a physical yet. I am still mad about the blood test. I am hoping I become desensitized through nursing school or I will make a terrible nurse!
