UNLV Accelerated 2nd degree BSN Summer 2021

Making this forum for anyone else applying to the Summer 2021 ABSN program at UNLV!

I know it’s a new program so feel free to share your stats, points you’ll be applying with, or if you have any questions

I’m planning to apply with around 49-50 points out of the 55.5. I still have to take 2 more pre-requisites so I don’t have an exact number just yet. 
I’m also planning on taking the CNA course   at UNLV in April if anyone else is too.

Hi can you apply without completing in the CNA course? Where do you find the point calculation sheet out of 55.5?

I think the CNA course is required and I got it from the application packet they sent through email.

are any of you guys also a bit confused on how clinicals will work? like the “one-to-one preceptor hours”? I hope we can all go as a group and instead of showing up to hospitals where we’re the only student

IDK once the selection process is over we will have an orientation. Everything is vague since it is a new program.

true. did you send in your application already? just wondering if most people are sending it in before or the day of the deadline

Yes I applied a month ago.
