University of Washington (UW) DNP 2021

Updated:   Published

Looked for another thread but couldn't find one, anyone applying to University of Washington's (UW) DNP program starting Autumn 2021?

What track is everyone applying to?

Does anyone know if any one thing is worth more weight in admissions (GPA, LORs, Experience, etc.)?

Does anyone know the profile of a competitive applicant? Someone in the 2020 thread posted a link for admission stats from 2018, looked like around a 35-45% acceptance rate, depending on the track.  I haven't been able to find any updated information. Anyone have any?

I'll be applying to the Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP track!

Hey guys!

I also applied to the DNP program at UW. I applied for the Women’s Health CNS and was wondering if anyone else applied that track. I haven’t seen much about it and seems like the majority is FNP. A few years ago only 2 applicants...which is reassuring and worrisome at the same time. Hopefully one more week til we all hear back!

I applied to Peds CNS but I think I might be the only one. I was the only one asking questions at the informational sessions. Typically only 1-3 apply for my area. ??‍♀️ Good luck to you though!

I wonder when decisions will post? Historically, are they posted the first week of March toward the end of the week or the first of the week?

I want to say last year it was towards the end of the first week!

One of the emails I received said they were going to try for the first week of March.

We will probably hear by Friday this week! I’m so nervous... I hope to get in at first place!

From UW Admissions—

“We are still on track for releasing admit decision first week of March and not before that.”

I already have one acceptance at my second choice, so, I’m not biting my fingernails off, but, UW is my first choice school.

Most acceptances come out this month, except Duke, which is not until April.

Theoretically that's possible, but historically it's been on Friday when they've made notices the first week of March.

Just kidding, just got an email that decisions have been made and could be starting to go out tomorrow.

"Good Morning All- I am emailing to give you an update on the application review process and next steps.  DNP application decisions have been made and the review committee will convene this afternoon to endorse all decisions. Tomorrow I will enter these decision into our graduate school database which will send out a system generated email. This will be followed by a admit decision email sent via [email protected] later this week. There will be some time lag between these two processes so most likely you will receive the graduate school system generated notification first, with a School of Nursing email to follow."

Good luck everyone! Keep yourselves distracted for another couple of days!!

I’m working next 3days so I’ll be distracted a little or keep checking my email at work ?
