Looked for another thread but couldn't find one, anyone applying to University of Washington's (UW) DNP program starting Autumn 2021?
What track is everyone applying to?
Does anyone know if any one thing is worth more weight in admissions (GPA, LORs, Experience, etc.)?
Does anyone know the profile of a competitive applicant? Someone in the 2020 thread posted a link for admission stats from 2018, looked like around a 35-45% acceptance rate, depending on the track. I haven't been able to find any updated information. Anyone have any?
I'll be applying to the Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP track!
I am so anxious out here, waiting on decisions. Packing up a life and moving halfway across the world for school is tough enough. But, having applied to schools from the four corners of the US and not knowing which one until sometime in March has left me with no fingernails and very little sleep.
I hope they decide I am one of the 15-20 students typically accepted to the adult gerontology acute care track....

Halfway across the world? Where do you live?

Alaska. It’s a quick 3 hour flight, but a 2400 mile drive and, in good weather with only fuel and potty breaks about 52 hours door to door. So, maybe not *halfway* around the world, but definitely not an easy move. I’ve done it both ways several times.
Interesting update. I work at Seattle Children’s which is in UW’s backyard. We received an update that UW has extended its application date until 5/1/2021 for all Peds DNP tracks including CNS, AC ARNP and PC ARNP due to “additional training capacity.” If anyone was wavering between FNP and Peds, that may be something I think about...

I believe the School of Nursing has a partial scholarship fund based on need, but I think preference goes to undergraduate students as most of us in the DNP program are employed.
Following that same topic, what's everyone's plan to fund tuition/expenses?
Also, just one more week possibly!!

Every fall and Winter there's a round of nursing scholarships that you can apply for. It's just one application and they apply the one best fit for you. My current scholarship awards me $3000 every semester towards tuition plus health insurance. All from the School. I'm employed as well but only per diem.
