University of Washington (UW) DNP 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Looked for another thread but couldn't find one, anyone applying to University of Washington's (UW) DNP program starting Autumn 2021?

What track is everyone applying to?

Does anyone know if any one thing is worth more weight in admissions (GPA, LORs, Experience, etc.)?

Does anyone know the profile of a competitive applicant? Someone in the 2020 thread posted a link for admission stats from 2018, looked like around a 35-45% acceptance rate, depending on the track.  I haven't been able to find any updated information. Anyone have any?

I'll be applying to the Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP track!

Just received the invitation for online essay! Good luck everyone!

Completed mine today, found it challenging and thought provoking.  Best of luck to everyone!  It's going to be a long 4 week wait, but glad they said they should have acceptances out first week of March!

Are they recording us during the essay? Video/Audio? Were you able to go through notes for instance? thanks!

No it's not video recorded, it's exactly how the practice was.  While 7 minutes per question seems like a lot of time, it goes very very quickly.

I wonder if they’re asking everyone the same question or if they’ve created a random pool from which they’re drawing?  I’m completing my essays tomorrow night when I’m off work on my 3x12 stretch at the moment!

good luck, y’all!

How were the questions? Were they typical interview questions?

I'm just gonna leave it at challenging and thought provoking to maintain the integrity of the process.

I applied for the AGAC-DNP program. I was wait-listed last year and hoping to get off that list this year. I just completed the online essay questions. The time went by very fast but was less stressful compared to last years process, which included a recorded one-way interview. Good luck everyone!

Just finished the online essay. 7 minutes is not a lot of time at all, but I remember Simone saying these questions aren't weighed very heavily compared to the other parts of our application?

Phew, I completed my response too. Challenging, I couldn't think of much !

Done with the essay! The questions in my opinion were not hard, it was the typing part! ? I'm not the fastest typer... I wish they would have had us record the answers instead ?
