Hi everyone! Just wanted to start a forum for those applying to University of Washington's ABSN program for Fall 2020. I'm applying from California and unfortunately, I don't have any healthcare experience working directly with/under nurses as I'm an ophthalmic technician. I graduated last year with a BS in Health Science with a focus in Community Health.
Any feedback/advice on becoming a stronger applicant are welcome, or sharing your progress in the application is great too! Thanks! ?
Hi All,
I completed the prerequisite audit for admitted students but it turns out I need to redo the data in order to send it out via mail merge. I'm hoping to get this out by next week. Almost everyone is correct in their assessment in their application. So if you know you need to take a course, continue to take it.
I will reach out to those in which I found errors.

I think a lot of it happens when other schools begin advising on acceptance into their programs. The other schools I applied to advise March-June so I'm figuring that some movement will happen around then.

Not sure how much movement there has been in total but for reference, I was originally 7th on the waitlist, moved to 3rd in January and last week I was accepted into the program. I hope this helps! I do agree with @kangaroo that more will happen later in the Spring when other schools announce.

Well congrats! So at least 7 down, because before it was only 5! #optimistic LOL

That's awesome, congratulations! And thank you for sharing! Which means I got bumped up also :)

I was able to make a MyUW account and get to the page where I have tabs like Home/Accounts/Profile, but I also don’t see a place to check my application status. It did warn us in the email that it could take up to 48 hours to be able to check our application status. Will keep checking.
Hi Friends,
I am accepted ABSN applicant. I had some big life events happen which prevented me from turning in my postbacc on time, however, I was able to get an extension (UW has been super accommodating btw). I just recently turned in my application, does office of Admissions send you a UW ID to be able to start a UW account? Any information about this process is much appreciated. Thank you! I will be moving from the Bay Area to attend in the Fall, is anyone else moving from out of state?
? Looking forward to meeting you all!

Congratulations @Marin520 !
I submitted my postbacc application in December and only received the UW account ID last week. I would contact the Admissions office and ask them when you'll receive your email/ link to set up your account. Here's the information!

Has anyone taken an online Physiology only course? That's the only prerequisite I have left, but most of the colleges near me only offer A&P together!
