Hey Guys!
Didn't see anyone start one yet for this application round for UW nursing and though may as well start one.
Hopefully this will help everyone out that reads this, and that joins into the conversation.
Ive been reading the past BSN application posts, and already learned a lot of info!
Just checking lol. But scenario A was a 17 year old with severe depression and also has type one diabetes...she's not checking her blood sugar regularly..scenario B a 50 something year old had gangrene and is missing his tongue that was removed but he's fully conscious and can communicate..
I've gotten to the proctored essay twice now...and unfortunately have not gotten in..ive since retaken some classes and added a lot more volunteer hours with American Red Cross and American Heart Association. BUT what I can tell you is to definitely think of some strengths and weaknesses and how those will enable you/hinder your experience working with a patient. Also, UW LOVES diversity and making you write about that.
Something that's also weird...I never got the email to be invited to the proctored essay/denial of invitation. Has anyone heard of this happening to someone? I'm thinking they might have misspelled my email. I even double checked the electronic one I sent in that they download into the system and it's correct.. I wasn't able to call them today because of president's day, so frustrating! So ive been preparing just in case.
Also, know your conversions!!! (mL to L, etc.) It will make the math portion so much easier!!

Congrats to you all! I got my invite too :). I'm going to look over the previous forums to find tips for essay.
