Hey Guys!
Didn't see anyone start one yet for this application round for UW nursing and though may as well start one.
Hopefully this will help everyone out that reads this, and that joins into the conversation.
Ive been reading the past BSN application posts, and already learned a lot of info!
I'm #3 on the waitlist, I called last week and Linda said when she gets someone that declines their program they'd update the waitlist and send an email. She said no movement so far. I'm getting a little nervous for sure. I saw some people had gotten accepted to SPU and then UW and were choosing UW, but I thought I'd see movement by this week for sure!
I delcined the other programs I got into bc they weren't right for me.
Please remember to sent in your money and/or forms by the deadline time TODAY. You can probably also call UW SON to check if they have received everything. If you have been denied admission, I believe there are advising appointments you can get and there is an info session later on this year to ask questions. I would probably keep my letter for the appointment. Also, if you want to get into UW SON and did not get in this time around, please don't get discouraged, especially considering that the ABSN, MS-CIPCT (I don't know a lot about this route, so I'd ask about it with admissions), and BSN application deadlines will be coming up later on this year or early next year. If you want to continue pursuing UW SON, I would continue gaining clinical hours, if you weren't all ready going to do so, improving your GPA and/or pursuing additional classes that will add to your resume, if you need to, and strengthening each written document that is turned in (proctored essay, resume, personal statement...), if needed. If you are waitlisted, I would definitely turn in your forms to stay on the list, but also consider sending in forms to other schools, in case it does not work out (unless you are set on UW and okay with reapplying). I hope everyone does well with this process, even if it takes a bit more time to reach the end of goal of becoming an RN. And if you tried your hardest, but didn't get the results you hoped for, don't lose confidence in your abilities, treat every event as a learning opportunity, and stay focused on what you are trying to achieve.
Hopefully everyone has started getting their paperwork in. If you are a current student, hopefully you have registered by now, even though there should be enough spots for everyone. If you are an entering student, please return your acceptance form and anything else that is needed ASAP. I believe you can register fairly soon too. Remember the deadlines sent to you by mail. If you are taking summer classes, make sure you have everything and keep in mind of all the dates. Please remember to sent in your money and/or forms by the deadline time TODAY. Hey everyone! I was at the proctored essay last year (2016) and I was wondering if anyone remembers some of the math questions from last year? I got 1/3 of the math questions right which was a huge reason on why I didn't get in. I don't want a few math questions to get in my way of pursuing a nursing degree. Please let me know if you could help out! Thanks!

I emailed the general SPU admissions dept but am sending my nursing program declination letter today. So maybe the SPU admissions dept doesn't communicate directly with the nursing program? I'm pretty sure at least two people on this thread are declining spots. What number are you on the waitlist?
