did anybody went to uta and finished online rn to bsn program? i just checked out their program and it sounds insane. at this university all the pre-requisite and nursing classes are 5 weeks!!! how can you possibly learn everything in 5 weeks? and no clinicals?? this school sounds fishy to me.

You do not need to work before starting a RN-BSN bridge program. As long as you have your license you can start. Also, if you are bridging over you do not need Chemistry, Pharmacology, Patho, or Nursing Concepts. Pharm and Patho should be apart of your ADN program, at least at most school I have looked into. Also, there are substitutes for Tech Writing. On the website it will tell you a list of classes you can take instead. I took Honors Philosophy Ethics. As long as the course is sophomore level or higher with a writing component they should accept it if you get it from their list. Good luck to you all.

Were any of you able to use a pell grant to pay for the program? At the bottom of thefinancial page it says Academic Partnership students are exempt from university scholarships and grant funds. I was counting on using the aid, which it says I got and I accepted, but are they not going to let me use it? I cant pay for it without it.

Karrin I spoke with a UTA rep. It was explained that if you are partnered with a hospital FA is not available. On the flip side to that, partnered applicants have a "heads" up on non-partnered applications.

hi! anyone from ny or nj attending uta? i was wondering after the program is completed, you can get your masters at any college.

I'm graduating with my ASN in December, and am looking at the online bridge program at UTA (I live in Arlington). My problem is that due to a deluge of medical expenses this year, I won't have my bills paid off by December as I'd planned, and as such I can't take the pay cut to go to work as a nurse right after I graduate.

I spoke with the academic partnership advisor, and he said he's had several nurses who for one reason or another weren't working in healthcare at the time, and that it wasn't a big deal - that they found nursing homes that were happy to have them volunteer and thus could meet their skills needs for particular assignments.

I'm wondering if anyone actually knows of anyone who's done this? Is it really that easy to find somewhere to do the "clinical" portion?

This is a rigorous program. If you are not motivated and focused, then this is not the school for you. In regards to "clinical", I specifically chose an RN to BSN program that does not require clinical... i've been an ER nurse for four years... if I needed an RN to BSN program that requires clinical that would be scary to every patient that walks through my ED....If this was a MSN family nurse practitioner program, then absolutely I would demand/expect clinical. Just my opinion...

Hello everyone! I have a couple questions about this program that I hope someone can answer. I noticed somebody posted a link to someones same answer but the link is a few years old and no longer valid.

I am currently a nursing student in Michigan and I was wondering if there is an added fee for attending this school. This program seems amazing and I would be really excited to be able to do it.

I have contacted the school, but have been waiting a few weeks with no answer from an adviser, so I am hoping to get some answers here!

I am in California. There is no out of state tuition for this program.

How do you know this is a rigorous program?

From UTA's website it says, "Clinical requirements are met through relevant application-based assignments completed in the workplace." It doesn't sound like a real clinical to me, but maybe it's just the way it's worded.

I am transferring classes from out of state and thought I would have little issue getting in since I already have my Associates degree. But after looking over the courses I am feeling very overwhelmed. I work full time in a clinic but I'm not sure how to manage all this and keep my job or my house.. anyone else working through and attending full time on line? TIA
