Hello! I'm looking into applying to the program but need to finish up some prereqs first. For those of you accepted did you also do the lab portions for anatomy and Microbiology? I saw it was recommended online but not required so I didn't know how that impacted acceptance.

I did the lab portion anatomy and still doing the Microbiology. If you decide to take these courses in a community college. It always has the lab portion, but don't worry about the lab portion. I find them easier than the lecture. You seldom see anatomy and microbio without a lab portion. The advantage that I see taking the lab portion is that when you decide to advance yourself after 2 years in nursing and study for DNP or DNAP, they will require to see some courses with lab portion in your transcript.

Do you mean fingerprinting by background check?

Fingerprinting will be after you start the class. You don't have to do anything with the background check, just pay the fees and let them do the rest, if your record is clean you can get the result after few days

How about drug testing? Is that before you start the class or after?

If you still have time, better do it before. Once the class starts, you don't wanna be messing with these requirements you need to do. Once you selected a clinic the e passport printed will show do the drug test before 05/2023. I scheduled mine  the other day and it was pretty quick,  just urine sample. So I suggest to do it and be done with it. Once you get accepted, you'll be overwhelmed with all emails you will receive from the university, they don't have to tell you but they are simply reiterating that you need to do this and that, have this and that. You can't tell them you forgot, because emails sent are in repetition from site director, admission advisors.

For Immunizations, your primary physician can help you with that. For the drug test its on the link, you have to schedule and choose the accredited clinic that is close to your location.

Hi! Does anyone know if you need an 80 in all sections of the HESI? I got a 78 on one portion but my total score was an 87. Did anyone get in like this?
