Can someone tell me if the UST is super strict about the GPA for acceptance in their program? I have a bachelor's degree in non-nursing but my GPA is not so great

I have a bachelors degree in non nursing. My overall GPA was 3.4 and my HESI cumulative was an 84. I was accepted.

My GPA is not that great too but that was 20 yrs ago. I have taken or should I say repeat some of the undergrad courses like A&P1 and 2 and algebra, I'm guessing that they look closely at your pre-req sciences courses GPA. I'm already accepted for Spring '23 cohort and they are just waiting for me to finish my Microbiology. Maybe you don't have to worry, just try submitting your application. I did not join any forums like this or rely on the information from a forum prior to submitting my application. When in doubt, the best way to get first-hand information is through the admissions advisor. Ask and you shall find.☺

Hi, I was wondering how long it took you guys to get accepted?

I've just submitted my HESI score along with the transcript through the NCAS today. I know it's a bit late but I really want to get accepted to this program and get my nursing degree asap.

Any possibility I might not be accepted with a 3.50 undergrad GPA and 90 overall HESI score?

Hi guys! Congrats to all those who have been accepted. I’m currently in my second semester at this program so if you have any questions, I can try my best to answer them for you!

Hi I am going to attend the ST Thomas ABSN program. Do you know the teacher ———————————- for Nursing 3270 clinical inquiry?

Can I ask you how long it took you to get your decision after applying?

Any possibility I might not be accepted with a 3.5 undergrad GPA and 90 overall HESI score?

I sent all the necessary transcripts and HESI scores yesterday so I did submit them a bit late. But the Admission advisor told me the deadline was December 1st, so I'm hope I'm not too late...

You are gonna be accepted, you just have to wait for them to contact you. But I have to warn you that the time now  is becoming limited to fulfill all the requirements before Jan. 2 which is the start of the Spring class. So as soon as they contact you. Get on starting with the requirements.

So I guess I can just assume that I've been accepted and act accordingly?

By requirements, do you mean things like immunization shots and the BLS provider cert? These are what I was told by the admission advisor to complete.

Are there any other requirements that I am not aware of?

Hello! I'm looking into applying to the program but need to finish up some prereqs first. For those of you accepted did you also do the lab portions for anatomy and Microbiology? I saw it was recommended online but not required so I didn't know how that impacted acceptance.

Yes, background check, drug test, required materials like stethoscope and other things, books required, you need to get your own scrubs. Your FAFSA sorted out before anything else or if your taking private loan too. It can be overwhelming thats all, especially with the holidays comin up but if you think you can do all these things before Jan.2, then you're golden. Orientation is on 14th of December.

Do you mean fingerprinting by background check?
