University of South Florida Accelerated BSN

Anyone have any insight on this program? I'm in the process of applying and would love to know about the school!

How did u find that newsletter? I actually went to the CON website, but couldn't find it, which I thought was weird, since its a newsletter for nursing students... Anyways thanks for the update!

If those dates are true, it would be really hard on out-of-towners like me to find a place like 3 weeks before the program and move!! On the CON website there is a question and answer section that states that it only should be 2-3 weeks before we hear our decisions. I really hope its more like that...

Yeah me too! I would like to have at least a month to know where I'm living!

Does anyone know if we will need to make trips to Tampa for mandatory meetings or anything before Aug 23?

I know if you applied as a transfer student we have to attend a transfer orientation but I am not signing up for that unless I get in because it cost $40 and is non-refundable :(

Oh yeah I forgot about that, I won't be paying beforehand either.

The deadline is just a few days away! I'm getting scared so I just wanted to scare you guys too I guess. Sorry:)

ha ha, well guess what, u scared me lol! jk...But yes it is coming up soon! I can't wait for it to be over so I can know if I got in or not. I hate this waiting and waiting feeling...

I am more nervous about hearing from USF than any other school I have applied to! How many people do you think applied??? Back to checking my email 100 times a day lol :p I wonder what gets weighed most heavily when they look at the applications. They let us know pretty soon after the deadline at least!

I have no idea what they weigh most heavily. LOL I think every applicant wants a different part weighed more heavily. Just to make myself feel better 35 people applied and all of them are getting accepted! NOT:icon_roll!

Actually I was just on the CON website and it stated "The program normally accepts 24 student two times a year in Summer and Fall". So I guess its no longer 35. If you click on the "Get you questions answered" link and then the "find answers link", it actually provides a lot of information. I never noticed this before, so either i'm blind or its new.

24 could be the correct number. A current CON student told me they try and create clinical groups of 12 so there may only be two groups on the accelerated program. I had heard there were 36 seats from another student but there may only be 24. At least after today the competition can't get any worse as I believe all applications had to be submitted by 5:00pm today. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
