I believe so, although, since I have no sort of notification I am going on what I hear on here. That is why it would be fabulous to hear from someone who has actually gotten the letter that tells you your approved track or curriculum schedule.

I could be wrong, since I haven't gotten mine either. But I don't think the letter told them about their schedule. I believe shantel got a letter but she wrote above that she has still been trying to contact them to find out her schedule. I've seen quite a few posts in this thread and other threads of students that have received letters but no one has mentioned any info about the condensed schedule. I think the letter confirms that the packet was complete, provides your jag number, and information about registration (which starts august 1st). It doesn't seem like there was much more to the letter then that but again, I could be wrong.

Maybe they will notify everyone all at once through jagmail about the condensed schedules... Since they said they will be using that as a means to contact us. I hope the rest of us get our info soon and that we all find out in the next couple days about our schedule... Since August 1st is about a week away.

You are correct, there was no mention of an advisor or what classes we should sign up for, just that we can access PAWs now and the steps for registering for classes (it just didn't say which ones).

Thanks for all the helpful information guys. I have sent my packet in 7/16, but no letter yet and I live in Texas. I had emailed Eric Light on Monday (as indicated on the MSN Packet) to see if it was recieved and he hasn't replied. I'm sure he's getting a ton of emails. I called yesterday and the lady mentioned that they are very busy with organizing everything - as they are also getting applicants for Spring 2015. I guess all we can do is wait... :whistling:

I emailed Eric Light yesterday and got a reply this morning. I asked a few questions... Such as when/how we would be notified about the condensed schedule. And said I mailed my completed packet on July 7th but hadn't received my letter yet. He didn't say much... This was the response I got...

"The office of admission is processing the admission files now. They should be sending your letter soon."

I hope "soon" is by next Friday so I can register August 1st and find out about my financial aid. I hate to sound negative or impatient but I just hate all these uncertainties. It's kinda nerve wracking not knowing what my schedule will be, whether or not I will have to go to Alabama last minute for a clinical orientation if I get the condensed schedule, what type of financial aid I will be awarded, whether or not I'm going to have to set up clinicals for fall if I get the condensed schedule and what paperwork is involved, etc. I'm typically good at managing stress and a busy/hectic schedule but I like to know what to expect so I can plan my work schedule, finances, etc accordingly. Ok sorry for the rant. I will try to keep a positive attitude and hopefully we will all get our questions answered soon.

After I sent in my acceptance packet in I have finally received this email from Eric in the advisor's office and it stated the following:

-it said that he received my acceptance packet

-I needed to register starting August 1st at 9 a.m.

-the financial aid department had my file and I would begin to process my stuff and send me a letter out with my jag number and information to do my email account

-They were going to send another letter about the orientation webinar

-It also had my program plan and classes I needed to sign up for.

I received pretty much the same reply and he also stated that at this time they were not able to offer any condensed schedules for the Fall applicants in the family psychiatric specialty.

Well that's disappointing. But maybe it's for the best... For me at least. It would have been a tough year and a half with all those classes and having to work as well. And I was stressing about having to set up a clinical site for this fall and get all the paperwork and approvals done at the last minute. At least I don't have to worry about that for now and will have plenty of time to get that arranged before next year. Thanks for the info.

Anyone try to claim economically disadvantaged status for the scholarship? I'm the "bread winner" for my family of four, but I'm very disappointed they require three years of my parents tax returns in order to claim. My parents taxes are in Spanish from Puerto Rico and my dad tried to find all of his to help me but could only find 2 out of the last 3 years so I guess I'm out of luck.

Just recieved an email this morning from Eric stating my packet is complete and pretty much all the steps needing to finally register and it had my plan of study attached!! Hope ya'll get yours as well!
