Is anyone applying to USA for fall 2014.

I also applied, but my parents are not living so didn't have to worry about that:-) anyone know when they issue the scholarships?

I don't know if this is entirely accurate regarding the sequence, someone on the orientation site stated they had one of their classes switched on their personalized scheduled 608 which is normally second semester they are supposed to sign up this semester and 607 next semester. It says specifically on the orientation site to wait for your schedule and not go by the generic one on the website. I've been trying to be good and not register but I'm going nuts!

Me too belle, glad to know I'm not the only one.... is it emailed or snail mailed?

I got my schedule via email from Eric but it was just the normal track for PNP. Have you guys looked at the booklist for NUR 607? Am I seeing that correctly in that they have 6 required books? That seems like a lot for one class. Plus, books for Patho, Secure Proctor, Adobe Writer, and our drug and APA books...gonna be expensive!

Yea I noticed the same thing.....

Yea I just got mine from Eric via email and it says I'm supposed to be taking 545 and 608 this semester. Glad I didn't order any books the other day or register before I got my personalized schedule.

I'm still waiting on my schedule...

i'm watching the videos now. there's one module for AHN 569 - a clinical course. it's talking about all sorts of contracts with preceptors, time sheets, etc. to my understanding, that is not for us first semester students, is it? we aren't doing any clinicals right off the bat, right? that's for next year after we have gone to mobile for the clinical orientation. can anyone shed any light on this?

also, has anyone gotten their personalized course schedule? i sure haven't. i emailed the academic advisor...

thanks.

furthermore, i bought a macbook pro for FNP school. turns out - CAN'T USE IT!!!!!!!! so mad. gonna have to buy a crappy PC. anyone else do the same thing? (can't return it - it's beyond the 14-day return window).

I have a MAC as well and plan to use it! That's all we have in the house- I'm gonna rely on it working - I absolutely do not care for PC. I could borrow one I suppose if need be but heaven help me use that lol. Also - we do not have clinicals the first year, at least not the first couple of semesters. The videos are a little overwhelming with all of the paperwork and finding preceptorship in all the different areas. That is the only thing that has deterred me from doing this sooner- finding people on my own to educate me while I pay the school kinda blows. I have heard all kinda of stories about difficulties finding clinicals - not all bad, not all good. I have not received a schedule either so just waiting. What is the cost per credit hr for online grad? I saw 485? Is that right?

Writing posts on my cell phone in a hurry- excuse all the typos :)

Still waiting on my schedule. Concerned I will not be able to get books on time. Is anyone else still waiting?

Yeah, that's a concern I have - finding preceptors. I'm sure it's doable...otherwise people wouldn't be going through the program.

I'm not sure about tuition cost but I think the total tuition for the entire program is around 21k.

As for a Mac, I may have to purchase a cheap, crappy PC to have on hand just in case. I would hate to fail out on a technicality (literally!).

I emailed the academic advisor (I know we aren't supposed to use people's names on here) about personalized curricula. Awaiting a reply.

Soon enough we will be knee deep in it!
