Is anyone applying to USA for fall 2014.
I got in to PMHNP also!! Is anyone trying to do the condensed schedule? I am going to attempt it....I hope I can manage it with a full time job and 3 kids/husband. It's going to be rough...
Congrats! Yea that's my plan. I hope there is room for all of us that are wanting the condensed schedule. I wish we could get an idea of how difficult it is to get that schedule since they say it's available on a limited basis. I think u can do it! I'd rather just tough out the year and a half. I've been putting off starting a family until I'm done with school so I'm ready for the good life. But I definitely give u props for all the juggling u r doing. I was afraid I wouldn't b strong enough to do it myself. But u made it this far... The end is in sight!
Hello all!! It's been a while since I posted on allnurses! Anyhow, I came home in the morning on the 20th after a night shift at a crisis center where I work, checked the mail, and got my acceptance letter!! PMHNP program!! Been a Psych nurse for 3 years now and absolutely LOVE my job. I think all the PMHNP guys/gals should get into contact with each other, after all, we are all classmates now!!
Congrats! Great idea... Suggestions on how to do so?
Meowmixer... Oops, you're right about the flu vaccine not being due until September. I don't know why I didn't notice that date there before... But I guess it's just so much stuff to do, it's easy to miss. And I just saw that "incomplete" and thought I had to do something about it. I feel kind of dumb now getting a flu shot in June when I didn't really need one lol. Oh well. So yea, I guess we just get one for the 2014-2015 season and upload it by September 30th. That's how it seems, anyway.

I don't know. I was so confused about the flu vaccine. It didn't seem to have another option besides proof of vaccination or the declination if we were allergic. And I never get flu vaccines... And not allergic that I know of. I was going to ask the school but luckily the infection control nurse at my place of employment had a bottle left of the 2013-2014 vaccine... So I got it today... Even though flu season is over lol. Then I will get the new one when it becomes available. She laughed at me but she checked with the pharmacist and I guess it didn't expire til June 30th so was still ok to give. And I'm trying to just get all of this done, so was easiest this way. But yea, I would submit your 2013-2014 season flu vaccine record and then get the new vaccine when it's available and we will probably have to update it on the site.
For the TB, I didn't have one a year ago... And didn't want to wait 1-3 weeks and do the 2 step test. So was going to try to get that blood test drawn. Then I remembered I had a positive one a couple years back... I think it was just a false positive... So picking up my chest X-ray results from my old employer tomorrow (since it said it could be from any year) and going to fill out the tb questionnaire to have my doc sign.
