Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to USA for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP-Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey. Also, I am currently based in FL, anyone else from out of state care to share their experiences with this program being online and all? How was it finding a clinical site and preceptor?

We had planned it before I applied to grad school. Hoping to reschedule for the Summer before all of this starts. I'm also going to be working full time, school full time... and my kiddo will be 5 when the program starts. We can do it!!
I might have some good news for you. Acceptance packet emails went out this morning and I found this gold nugget in there. Please confirm with the college before making your final plans, but you might not have to reschedule?
"Statement of New Student Orientation
Students accepted into the dnp programs will attend the New Student Orientation. The New Student Orientation is located on USAOnline as a Virtual Orientation Site (VOS). The VOS will open on July 19, 2021 and close on August 13, 2021. This is a required orientation for all new students.
The Course Coordinators will provide a separate specialty specific orientation after the beginning of the semester. Please watch your jagmail account for more details on the specialty orientation."
Hope this helps. I'll post it in the facebook group too.
