Published Feb 7, 2014
Hello everyone,
This thread is for the University of San Francisco Masters in Clinical Nurse Leader Program for non-nurses (Summer 2014 cohort) I didn't see one so I decided to make one. Anyone else applying?

How long has the MSN CNL Program been offered in SoCal? I saw on their website that whether or not it is happening is still in progress?
I got an email at the end of June advertising the program, so I thought it was new! Kinda feel like i turned in my application late if people have been submitting since Feb lol

@rgshepherd it is brand new. I just got an email back in June about it because I'm on the mailing list for the school. I applied to it...not sure when we will hear back, but some people got placed there or the option of being placed there (from what I gather) when they applied to the SF location during the last admissions period.

Do we get notified by mail or email? I'm worried because I have to accept an offer to another school in two days and I'm still waiting for USF's decision.

I'm just finishing my last semester and working on my project. I was part of the MSN-CNL Cohort 4, we present our CNL project posters this August. I found this thread while looking into the presentation info. Good luck to all of you! If you need any help, feel free to send me a message and I'd love to help you if I can!
If you are on a tight deadline with the other school, just call USF's School of Nursing and inquire about it. I know you're probably stressed out waiting, but just call and ask. It wouldn't hurt, especially with your deadline.
I called them a week ago and I really didn't get a solution to the problem. So I don't know what to do. At this point I have to turn in my intent to register at the other school.

Hello Ambitiousannie!
I hope things are going well for you at your time at USF! I was hoping to speak with you briefly about your application and if you have any advice on what specifically to focus on. Many a posts say that the statement of purpose is something USF really relies on. As someone who was accepted into the program I would definitely appreciate your own advice and expertise. I am sure you are busy with classes but I dot hope to hear from you!
Thanks,
Lorraine

Hello all! I will be applying to the MSN CNL program at USF for Fall '17 and I wanted to know if anyone who is in the program could give me their stats? (GPA, health care experience, all that) I want to see what kind of chance I have. I received A's in all of my pre nursing courses but studied a very rigorous undergraduate major (biology and chemistry) so cummulatively my GPA is about a 3.5ish. I have 4 years of experience working as a medical assistant in 2 different clinics, over 1 year of experience as a medical scribe through the department of public health in SF, and over 1 year of experience volunteering at UCSF corpus clinic treating homeless patients. The CNL role is such a huge passion of mine and I just want to get in so badly! Thank you all for the help!
